Being a machinist is not a bad profession at all!! I'm also a machinist, 21 years I'd been working in a manufacturing industry. If it wasn't for my own whole sale live bait business I would still be working in a shop somewhere.

Sam, You should get fish tags and tag your fish. You can weigh them, identify them and see how much they grow per year as you feed them. Its a good way to track their growth...when you catch them....just an idea

I'm located in Lakewales Florida, you can find me by Google under shiner unlimited. Now the tranquil med is called Quinaldine, I got it from B.L Mitchell and you can also use a Clove oil, many shiners catcher are using it.

Are the shiners sterilized, cause if they get away in the pond can they not start spawning? I know bass will eat them but will there be a small population of shiners eventually
