Is it normal to feel pain, emotions, and have full control over yourself in the dreams? Also, I almost always start making up a story in my head and when I fall asleep that story continues and I always wake up in the middle of my dreams. I even recorded myself sleeping and my eyes had never stopped moving.
@summerwindsnap7 жыл бұрын
But do they always somehow end up dying, getting hurt, or watching their body get taken over by some entity that's killing everyone? I'm cursed, I swear.
@summerwindsnap7 жыл бұрын
Well, my mind doesn't control the story, only my actions in the story. I only think of the beginning and then stuff happens. Though, there's those few occasions where I actually do sleep. I wake up and I'm like, "Omg! I'm finally not completely exhausted!"

Summer Windsnap that was a lucid dream those r the types of dreams where u have full control over what happens and ur sensitivity is much higher and everything feels real but u r aware that ur dreaming so u do things that u might not otherwise do in real life such as trying to fly or eating whatever u want if u want to dream like this all the time then u should try to make urself aware that ur dreaming like try and read something random such as a newspaper or cereal box ingredients if the words r all jumbled up or don't make sense then that will tell u ur dreaming also try and jump up randomly as if ur be trying to fly if u do u know ur dreaming there r more ways but I don't remember them all but Shane Dawson did a video about it on his channel it's helped me have some pretty fun lucid dreams

Honestly, I hate these dreams where you think you´re awake, and you just go about your day like you always do, and then BAAM, you´re mind´s all like "Was just a dream, bro. LOL!" I have these from time to time, and one time, I THOUGHT I had one of them, so I just waited to wake up. Turns out I was awake already AND I had over"slept" because of it...

My mother had a dream once where she had met this older woman, she was crying for help because she was dying. This woman had her neck cut open but it wasn't bloody, it looked like the inside of a tree. While she was dreaming, right outside was a very old tree being cut down, and when she woke up she had a loud buzzing sound in her ear.

One of the weirdest things to ever happen to me when I was asleep was when someone in my dream slapped me in the face. Next thing I knew, I was in my bed on my back. I thought I woke up in sleep paralysis, which happens to me occasionally, but I could still hear the audio from the dream. The room was silent, so the audio could not have been from the outside, but then I just fizzled back into the dream as if nothing happened. and more lucid then before. It was so weird. I'm still wondering whether I actually woke up or if it was just part of the dream.

You almost went into sleep paralysis, but not quite. So, now knowing it's a dream, you went back to sleep, and because you now knew you were dreaming, you had more control over it, thus your dream being more lucid.

*How to sleep better* and wake up *NOT feeling tired* : Our sleep consists of around 90 minutes cycles. If you wake up in the middle of the cycle you will feel tired and sluggish. So if you want to wake up not feeling tired, you should plan your sleep in 90 min blocks. So that would be 6, 7.5 or 9 hours of sleep. Keep in mind that the average person needs around 14 minutes to fall asleep. You now have a formula that you can apply when you plan your sleep. However, everyone is different and not everyone has exactly 90 min cycles, but knowing that our sleep consist of cycles can help you wake up more energized. - thanks Psych2Go for an interesting video :)

Very interesting video! :)Please do an informative video on postpartum depression! I don't know if I'm the only one but I thought ppd meant. . you know the worse, that you want to hurt yourself or your baby. Until I experienced ppd myself! at my 6 week pp check up I even had to fill a questionnaire, to be sure I was mentally well. I didn't really relate to any of the questions, but became EXTREMELY anxious, majorly depressed, I developed really bad tmj, and was so sleep deprived I could barely function, always forgetting every single thing. I thought that was just me! That it was just my personality to be anxious like that? It wasn't until after my daughter turned 1 that I started to ease out it, feel like myself again. I stood strong but I now understand what ppd truly feels like... I feel it could help many mothers, fathers, friends and family of new mothers, to have a better understanding ppd

Yes, it is known as false awakening. A false awakening is a vivid and convincing dream about awakening from sleep, while the dreamer in reality continues to sleep. ... Wow. I can now confirm the fact, that I don't dream. I daydream, sure. But when I do have these "dreams" I'm very much conscious of my body and where I am and what is happening around me. I suppose the feeling of falling is something that happens a lot, but it's mostly when I blank out, my brain decides that yes I am falling when I'm not even moving, and my body just spasms randomly, but yet I'm still awake. I've had near-dream experiences, ones that always had something biting me to death, but even those I could feel my body twitching. So far, I'm too lazy to look up what this is or what the ever loving hell my body thinks it's doing, all I know is that this makes me feel like shit when I sleep for 6-8 hours, but if I sleep 10+ hours I feel energetic, and if I sleep below 4-5 hours I feel like I just drank ten million coffees and I can do anything. The one with the coffee symptom gives my brain the idea that I am unstoppable, and thus I get hurt a lot ._. Oh yeah, and if you say something along the lines of, "You obviously do dream! You just can't remember it!" I call bullshit, my friend. Here's a little story on why I call bs, k? So, when I was really little (and it's the same now), I slept like the dead. Unfortunately, my dad thought I really was dead, and had to check if I was breathing. Now, before you go, "What does this have to do with anything you just said?" Remember the eye movement when you sleep? He had to check if I was breathing, because he didn't see the eye movement. Case closed. Mm, one more thing, I won't be replying to any comments unless they are questions or peak my interest. I'm gonna go watch some more anime and shit, bye.

@killercupcakesz7 жыл бұрын
I over think about my ex since we recently broke up but nothing else. I've also been supper depressed lately.
@UnworthyUnbeliever7 жыл бұрын
maze Dreaming about things that peson over think about them is normal, so if you passed sad times with your ex, just dont longer think about him, he [seems] hurted you but thinking about him doesn't make anything better, and thinking about him is just like you wasting your time and energy to hurt your emotions. about Demons and dead Bodies, well it my sound unusual, but embrace it. sometimes "Demons" Try connect people, and get rejecred because of people's fear or ignorance or unwillingness. maybe a deamon want to connect you, so just keep acceptance and try to just hear what he/she/it/they want to tell you. dont reject them, and dont move forward unless you sure there is no harm for you or everyone else. Embracing your Demon(or Dark Side) have a lot of benefits and can make you a lot happier, just if you spend a bit of time to be your dark one, when you are alone; like once or twice a week when you are alone in hous, in night, turn of lights and allow anything that lies inside you (like if you know a demon from your dreams) to become persent and talk with them or play with them. Demons have a lot of problems, just like ours, but if we accept them they can help us in our lives without harming anyone. i was in depression too, and what i explained was my key to escape that. also remember Only You can find a meaning of your dreams. hope it helped

I think I had a REM dream?I'm not quite sure but I'll share the experiences I had in mine. My mom gave me a doll,a new one .After a few moments,I realized they were gone so I decided to play with the doll.I was in the urge to pee so I quickly went to the bathroom while leaving the doll in the kitchen table,sitting. I came back and the doll was not in table.Instead,it was on the ground crouching.I picked it up once again but I had this feeling that someone was watching me.I let go of the doll and fell to the ground.once I did,it started to move,slowly and gently. It was walking towards me,and I started to back up.I didn't know where I should hide so I had no choice but in the basement downstairs.The basement was dark and the only thing that could provide me light was a small candle. A few moments later,I heard the door open.I was really scared so I ran around in circles.I hid in the corner and cried silently.The flame in the candle was gone and all I could see was darkness. I could hear the doll walking towards this direction and now I know it,the doll was behind me with big black eyes and a horrid smile. The dream is still hunting me and I don't know what to do about it.It has really affected me and since I had dolls in my room,I became more aware and scared. Is there anything I could do about this?

I have an idea...can you do a video based off of what noise you listen to when you sleep says about you? Edit: when I was younger, I would have nightmares where it's like you are just looking (I'm like, awake during this tho) at the ceiling or around the room and shapes and animals would start to form then they would come at your face. I still have these sometimes. But it's creepy cause even if you close your eyes you still see them. Edit2: I also had ones where I would wake up in the middle of the night, and walk to my stairs. Then I would jump and I could FEEL the falling sensation you get when you fall from really high, then I would walk around the corner to my parents room and knock on their door and they would let me sleep with them. And I would wake up in the morning in their room. And I always wonder what was going on. Edit 3: again, sometimes I have dreams where you can feel stuff like, if I went to the zoo and got eaten by an alligator (idk) I could FREAKING FEEL the teeth and everything and it would scare me so much because everything was there and I could phisicaly feel it.

I hate the falling thing. A couple of months ago it was really icy when I was walking to college and I kept sliding, and it made me really anxious because I didn't want to slide over in front of people. I guess that stuck in my brain for the rest of the day because when I fell asleep that evening, I had really short dreams where I slid over on the ice, and every time I had them, I woke up with that falling feeling. It would have been fine if it was just once but I had them one after the other, and I think I had the falling thing about 7 or 8 times in a matter of 30 minutes, it was awful.

I have a question: What is it called when the only thing one can feel towards themselves is shame? It isn't depressed, but it comes with a few suicidal thoughts (nothing serious), and with putting everyone before ones self. It sucks.

Is it possible that when you close your eyes, wake back up, and you were asleep for a second, what is it called? I felt refreshed in the morning and calm, but kinda freaked out that I didn't dream at all..It's werid.

I wish I could have those dreams for certain days when I'm exited for something the next day, and have lucid dreams for days when I want to get away from everything for a while. How I wish...

Growing up as a kid used to be able to remember my dreams. Now I can't remember them at all! I hate it. They immediately evaporate when I'm in a semi-waking state or just woke up. Lucid dreaming: Somewhat strangely, half a lifetime ago I was able to take control of a simple dream for a short while. I said to myself "I'm dreaming" (basically) and proceeded to lift up a car that was in a driveway. Nowadays, even though I can't remember dreams, I _know_ that I've realized i was dreaming numerous times while sleeping...but I can't remember the exact dreams! For crying out loud! I think I have memory problems because I received 2 separate hits to my head at different times as a kid. 8-/

I often (when I have nothing better to do) sleep in the middle of the day and wake up 3-4 hours later and stay awake for 2 hours or so. Then (mostly at 22:00 - 00:00~) I go to sleep again and have really realistic nightmares which I can sometimes not surely tell if they were actually real or not. I also experience sleep paralysis through it. I do that intended because it actually makes fun and it makes me relaxed after it. But sometimes my dreams are strange and deep and I just ask myself how the fuck I made this "world" up. Dreaming is awesome - if scary or not. Just makes me happy.

can you go more in depth on the falling dreams?
@polish37176 жыл бұрын
my dreams are literally always related to what i hear. like i hear sth and i instantly imagine its cause in that dream.

Then I must constantly be waking up in REM sleep, because I remember mostly all of my dreams. Maybe not my owns when I was a kid. But as a writer I have to write down my dreams or sometimes I end up like continue the dream in my conscious awake state and begin to write and add more onto the story of the dream.

I honestly can't remember the last dream I had. I just seem to sleep and wake up, no dreams. also when I actually do dream, the dreams black and white but I've always watched color.

A small error. Around 2:54 the narrator says "The Chester Beatty Papyrus is a record of Egyptian dream interpretations from around 1850 BCE." The on screen illustrations write 1880 BCE instead.
