Usually if you jump on a dry bones, when it reforms itself, it starts walking in your direction, however with a goomba mask it will not, so the dry bones IS fooled.

the answer for the "does every enemy ignore you when you wear the goomba mask" is actually yes, some enemies basically aren't even aware mario is a threat to them, so they just walk aimlessly

Fun fact that I learned: With SMB2 Mario, standing on enemies counts as standing on the floor so if you have a don’t touch the floor level, you can’t ride a goomba or something like that through the level.

3:37 No, as these are all enemies that continue in a direction anyways, regardless of the players position or proximity to them. You can test this by wearing a Gonna Mask, then stomping on a Koopa Troopa and destroying its shell. Normally, when it has no shell to get back, it will chase after the player. But it doesn't when you have the mask.

well actually it’s their regular behavior. When the player isn’t on screen that’s what they do. So they DO, do that for actual Goombas. You just never see it because all player,Goomba, and Lava bubble need to be on screen for you to see and if the players on screen the Lava bubble will start jumping higher.

I think how the goomba mask works is that it just forces the AI to act as though mario was not there, enemies will not actively attempt to harm mario while he is wearing the goomba mask.
