Better for the future? Did you know that you need at least 4GB of ram in order to get real performance from a 64 bit cpu. Lol. Btw the snapdragon 805 is way more powerful than that chip. Kit kat is smooth like ios already.

You are totally right. the apple junkies do not wan to admit that the other android phones already surpassed iPhone. I must say the user experience is much better than android phones but that's only because the simple layout the iPhone has. but in case off specs, apps, camera and many other things and espsecially the price. To me the biggest selling point of the HTC One M8 is the boomsound speakers and micro SD card slot. I don't care about the extra features, neither the Sense UI. I'm waiting for the Google Play Edition to be released. Are you planning on getting it for review?

Going for the HTC One [M8]- I have the Nexus 4 right now, it's nice but I'm having overheat issues and battery life situations that is really inconvenient - so yeah - HTC has won my money for the next 1-1/2 to 2yrs!

It's been favorably reviewed by most people, even more so than the Galaxy S5. I have the Nexus 5 and it's an awesome phone too, especially for $350. Both the Nexus 4 and 5 are rumored to be getting Android 4.4.3 really soon but since you need a phone now, the new HTC One is one of the best. The Next Nexus phone probably won't be out until the end of the year. I buy a new Nexus every 2 years because I really want the newest versions of Android as soon as possible. Unless something happens, I'll be holding onto this one until the 2015 Nexus is out. It's cool you are sticking with Android though :)

Nice video. M8 ftw! I picked mine up on the 25th and the phone is amazing. The boom speakers are solid and the camera is perfect, don't be fooled be the number 4 in the pixels, it shoots great pix. Apple fanboys can no longer brag about build quality cuz this phone is solid and feels better than the iPhone and even the M7. The only thing I would change is remove the front HTC logo but it's not a deal breaker. Android>iOS #Android #htc #One #M8

If we're being serious, the camera on the m8 is garbage. Then there's the gimmicks from both phones which is really not something worth discussing. Also some people just prefer ios, which is strange to me but to each his own I guess.

Does the M8 take huge amount of OS size ? I heard it took 6 gigs in Note 3 or S5 ( cannot remember which one ). If it takes a lot of space, that would be a downside compere to iPhone.

Great review Ken! I'm an HTC ONE M8 user as of June 2014, before that, HTC ONE. Because of the experience with previous Samsung galaxy (boo!), I read up on the HTC ONE and was pleased, used it, loveded it, M8 was an obvious upgrade choice.

Nice review. Designwise it's just typical, because of the phabletsize the application of overall brushed steal gives the M8 a kitchen device feel. Makes me wanna slice some carrots on it! Aluminum as a styling is great when used considerately. Nice to tweak the interface to a zillion combinations, but the icons still look 'immature'. Then again, the HTC has a certain target group with this certain 'design'interpretation.

I have the iphone (using it now) and my older brother has the m8 and he showed me how the htc line worked and I fell in love with htc it has a better design it feels a lot more comfortable in the hand vs the iphone and I love my music so the boom sound is a must!!!

When you pick up an iphone, It just works without lag. I can't speak for the m8 or m9 but the iPhone 5s never failed me. All the Evo's had major lag. My galaxy lagged out after a year.

I'm all for apple. However Im more into audio and the HTC has the best speakers compared to any ever made. The build quality is great just like apple and i like the battery life on the HTC compared to the iPhone. Not really into the big screen on the HTC, but I'll over look it this one time. Apple messed up with the 6. Making it bigger was pointless. Should've just updated and speakers and it would've been the ultimate phone.

It's the physical design. I love the rectangular edge in the iPhone 5s. It just gives that unique look and feel, reason why you wont find me waiting in line for the iPhone 6.

HTC ONE is one of the best phones available in the market. However, many of the reasons that have been discussed in this video, i either find them useless like customization or just a detail that does not effect may judgment when choosing my phone. Like the screen resolution and to have a 2 GB RAM. What is really important here is the user experience and not the specs. I have an iPhone 5S and my phone is fast and rendering games and videos and fast as the HTC One or even faster. For me the screen on the iPhone is sharp and beautiful. I bought an HTC One M7 last year and used it for less than a weak and went back for my iphone 5 and the 5S AND I so happy with my choice.

Even if you know how much limitation The iPhone 5S does You still get a great camera A massive store of Apps Great call quality Lots of Music Movies & Books But only gets 8hours of usage which is Okay but you want more You can't bluetooth share files with any device No file manager maps suck but Google maps made a comeback but you can't use siri for that Storage is a problem no SD card slot The premium design and services make up for it The Displays is too small for today's standards

Awesome Video Ken..:-) I personally prefer the iPhone 5s because i'm an apple addict. And i dislike all the other android phones because the user interfaces on all the android phones are just not at all comparable to the iOS's apart from the customization but i don't really care about the customization that much because all i care about is the quality of the applications available for the iPhone. The android market maybe huge but the App store has the best quality apps compared to the Google play. The Play store might have a lot of apps but not all the apps has quality. On the other hand, each and every application available in the app store has amazing quality and this just beats android in every way possible. The only exception and the only true competitor to the iPhone is really the HTC One and M8. I really wish to get my hands on it.:-) The UI, the specs all stand out in comparison to the iPhone 5s. I have never really compared any phone and i mean ANY PHONE to the iPhone in my life. This is the first time i'm looking away from the iPhone and the HTC One and the HTC One M8 are just amazing. And i really wish the iPhone 6 would revolutionize the smartphone industry again.
