Also Ny'alotha is the N'zoth vision of the future like the horrific visions and we have allias in those. Some cool thing that Blazz could do is make our own characthers future versions. Some of then resisted the corruption and are alies, others are imprisoned and tortured by n'zoth or being slaves. And Others (specially the ones that have the transmog-ruiner-eye) would be minios of N'zoth. Even powerful elites that only WE can kill, being like a out-world little challenge

I keep saying that Nyalotha and N'zoth failed even worse because no one we cared about got corrupted, that's the main thing the old gods do and just killing an alternate Thrall or Alleria is not enough, Ra-den is the only corrupted boss, but seriously, who really cares about him? If we had seen a boss like what Deathbringer Saurfang was in Wotlk the raid lore would have felt at least a bit better.

To be fair, that end raid cinematic for blowing up N'zoth DID act as the perfect climax for one of the big themes of the expansion... that we were a faceless, entirely interchangeable pair of legs for the heart of azeroth to ride around on. Seriously, Blizzard, maybe if you had spent any of our time in Battle for AZEROTH actually building a personal relationship between us and AZEROTH beyond the level of "janitor that middle manager magni tells to go clean up spills in aisle 5", maybe that end cinematic might actually have had some shred of the feeling you seem convinced it has. People complained about every paladin having Ashbringer in Legion, but at least you knew only people of your class got one. It reflected SOME sort of choice and accomplishment that you got your paladin to the start of the Legion content. It's baffling that they could get a sense of personal investment so right in Legion and then just fall over on their face the very next expansion.

@GamesWithTav "The payoff is the fun raid/dungeon" - You're absolutely right. It's the only meaningful constant throughout expansions besides hoarding mounts, pets and transmogs. Everything else is by design pointless. I got out for most of the expansion just to get back in 8.3 for a bit and for the first time I did Mythic dungeons. +0 Atal'dazar. 430 off hand drops, 60 ilvl increase for me and our shaman asks me if I need it. I quickly check his gear and he has 375. Mythic 6. 5 levels over my WQ crap, but Mythic 6. That's when I realized that the time you put in to that game during actual content is mostly worthless during patch or two. The only thing that is left is: did you have fun playing it?

It's not as fun as 8.2. At least we had 1 dungeon , 1 raid, few mini games in form of daily quests, one puzzle in nazjatar, a one massive pvp daily quest and 2 new areas to explore with few cryptic messages from nzoth.... 8.3 is just 2 revamp areas, grinding currencies, horrific visions and raíds

Honestly, as much as I like the systems added in this patch I dropped my subscription after the absolute embarrassment that was N'zoth's defeat. Two of my favorite WoW villains and really the only two remaining lore relevant villains on Azeroth both got made into total chumps in the same expansion. Azshara was beaten on her own turf by a rag-tag group of Alliance and Horde folks that were just as after eachother as they were her until they attacked the palace. And N'zoth the great schemer, the smartest of the Old Gods who has been planing contingency plans for over 10k years throws caution to the wind the moment he's free and gets taken out by the most obvious thing. Its really just been the final nail in the coffin of WoW lore villains to me since its what they always seem to do. The villain is either beaten with a McGuffin or written to be a total moron during their raid. Or both in N'zoth's case. Fingers crossed this was all an illusion or part of N'zoth's grand plans because I honestly can't be bothered to care about the Jailer, Arbiter, and all the other retcons in Shadowlands if they're going to get the same disrespect as Blizzard's legacy villains.

mechanicobra the Azshara thing bothers me more than most anything blizzard has done with WoW. I was never real big into WoW lore, played the game from 2004-2008ish then again from 2010-2012ish then came back again at the end of 2017. But Azshara was someone i had heard about from the very beginning and people were always speculating she was the next expansion. For a character of her magnitude to be relegated to something as horrendous as 8.2 was a slap in the face.

@@ragnar69420-f I can agree with that. I was always more about the WoW lore than I was about actually playing WoW. I got my start with Warcraft 2 but then didn't play another Warcraft game until Burning Crusade and then left after Wrath and didn't come back until Legion. Though that was more due to me being a kid playing a shared account with his dad at the time and when dad had to cut off the game for financial reasons so did I. Azshara and N'zoth are probably the two most built up antagonists in WoW. Even more than Sargeras I'd say. And each of them could have held the focus of an entire expansion by themselves in my opinion. So to see them forced into an expansion where they have to struggle against no only eachother for screen time but the faction war as well really just makes it look like Blizz wanted to just get them out there and over with as soon as possible. BFA could have worked fine as an Azshara expansion if everything from 8.2 onward had been about besting the Naga and putting the war aside. Then 9.0 could have been the Black Empire expansion that almost everyone has wanted since Cataclysm. But no, we get retcons galore and the Super Lich King for Shadowlands instead. Which is a whole other thing I won't rip on too much since they could potentially explain away most of what Shadowlands worries me about.

7:00 except when you are literally 2 feet above the ground and get hit by a work, because you are in a relatively high place. If you take off for a sec you can be slowed for 3 minutes which would NOT be your fault. If there is a temple on a mountain, of just simply anything on a hill and you are there, you will get hit by a worm even if you aren't afk high up in the sky. Yes there is a warning before you start getting the debuff, but if you can't leave the ground b/c you have no chance to avoid the worm it just becomes a waiting game until it leaves which is bad. Aside from this scenario, the worms aren't that bad.

I crested one of those mesas the other day, up to the temple in the NW corner of the zone. Just as I crested the top, having actually scraped against the edge in my efforts to stay as low to the ground up there as possible, I got nailed by the worm. ...Which decided it didn't need to respect any silly cooldown nonsense on its zap, and so took me from 0 stacks to 10 in half a second and annihilated me. All I could do was laugh. But that was definitely not my fault. I mean, most of the time when I eat a stack or two it absolutely is, but that wasn't.

We've been in places without friendlies before. Firelands. We went to the Firelands and Malfurion said, "Hey, wouldn't it be hilarious if we grew a garden here? Lol" So that's what we did. Everything wanted to kill us while we grew plants in the Firelands. We have Uldum and Pandaria with the woken city bleeding in from time to time. They could have made a small single zone of Nyalotha for us to travel through, if only to see how cool it is. >.> Or build a church there.

There are whispers in the raid that are specific to those that have the Gift of N'Zoth. Such as him saying "topple my underlings, assume their place at my side." And "All eyes are opened, yours were the first." There are others I have noticed like "You have done well my chosen" and "at last, you have arrived." Another perk is that you can understand Shath'yar with the Gift. So say a Shadow Priest goes into Void Form and starts speaking, you can understand exactly what they are saying. Or faceless ones when they speak, another one is the Executor of N'Zoth in Uldum N'Zoth assaults, if you cleanse one of the runes nearby he'll say something, and if you don't have the eye it's just gibberish, but with the eye it's legible.

It's not so bad BFA gets a lot of shit but the story zones and cinematics this expansion were very good overall. Imo this gear is a mess and way too powerful but idea behind it is awesome and the gameplay is still fun, raids are good, dungeons not bad, mythic plus is a great addition. Hell even pvp is fun to mess with but I still just love the world of wow.

But I guess they couldn't do both that and Horrific Visions and the two assault zones that rotate each week.

You can hop to SW and take the Uldum portal in the Cataclysm circle. I use my Tol Barad tabard to go to the area, leave that portal and go to Uldum's portal.

I think a good challenge to take would be for our character to appear in the fully rendered cutscene, similar to Argus kill, and Magni addresses us and even if some other characters do things they're still like "champion, do this". So we're still followers of the main characters of the story. I dont know how hard that would be to drop us into the rendered cinematic. Isn't the assets all the same?

The combination of underground and world quests is a nightmare ever since... Legion. Even in the zones that came out with the lunch of BFA, I still see people aimlessly wondering on the ground above the world quest marker. I myself have no idea where certain entrances to underground bosses are in Stormsong Valley to this day. I have no idea if it's the Quilboars dungeons or the Kul Tiran village basements... I don't know where it is and how to get there. Sometimes Blizz is kind enough to make it so the marker on the map show the entrance to the underground rather than the location of the thing... but then it becomes more confusing once the marker changes location after you arrive and you can't find it in the sea of other markers.

I already suffered your problem about Gnomes and timing and alts with the unlock quest to Mechagon at the Boralus FP... I have over a dozen alts and didn't care to do Mechagon on all (actually MOST) of them... so every time an alt goes to use the FP in Boralus its "High, there you are!" on all my alts.
