My sweet angel Daisy was a purebred. She sadly passed away about 2 weeks ago but I'll never forget her. She was afraid of storms and fireworks, we always pampered her (cleaned her eyes, cut the fur around her paws so she could walk, rub her ears, and even got her lots of haircuts so she can stay cool), but she was, since the day we got her, a little bratty princess. She bit us whenever she wanted and only loved my mom but would even bite her too. It's not like we did anything to her, we would just try to love her but she was too good for us XD I miss her lots and it's not the same to not have 2 little pups to get bossed around by. My eldest dog of 16 years was a mutt but such a baby. She was the sweetest and her name was flower. She passed away sadly from old age and Daisy sadly got a spinal injury which affected the way she was walking and ....pooping. Because she might have pinched her spinal cord by the back of her neck, she wasn't able to walk well. We believe that maybe the company who gave her a haircut....pet smart, could have caused this since they put their necks in restraints so the dogs don't move or bite, and since she started walking weird after that. But it could be possible that she fell down a step when she was outside which I would feel horrible about. Needless to say, sorry for the rant/talk but please love ur dog as much as u can, and please don't take any time u can spend with them for granted. This goes for any type of loved ones. I hope everyone's little puppy's grow old and live their life to the fullest, and please feed ur babies a treat for me, I miss my little girls. R.I.P Flower and Daisy💚😥😔

The loud noises part is easy, i have my little shit in my truck and she got used to the air brakes being applied and the compressor blow off within a week or so. she did spend a lot of time in the sleeper where the sound from up front is muffled by alot. now she can walk by my side through a truck stop and not even flinch when the compressors around us blow off. excellent road companion overall 🥰

Some positive reinforcement tips would be great :) I’ve read quite a few general psychology books on this but sometimes it can be difficult when you are very upset, but I’ve found that like human on human interaction, if you are upset with your loving Shih tzu then walk away to cool down before you do something you’ll immediately regret (like hitting them)

Loud noises hmmm. My dog hates the vaccum cleaner and blow dryer but loves Harley Davidson motor cycles…. I can’t figure it out. We went caravanning across the country, whenever a Harley came into the caravan park we had to make a grab for her or she would run off to go meet the new arrivals and jump all over them like they were long lost friends.

Mine is spoiled beyond words. She is more intelligent than... Albert ( you got it) Einstein!. Im joking.. she IS very smart and bossy when im esting. She gets so excited she sometimes will give me a nip. Never vicious. She just 'needs' some rib meat. I Love her immensely. Her name is Zoe-Kae. She will celebrate her 11th B'day on May 19th. 2023. Only downside is shes had to have 4 cystotomy surgeries for bladder stones. The first 3 went very well.She had some issues healing on the 4th on last Dec. It was a bit of a scare. Have to keep her on a prescription diet. She's not suppose to get any treats, but i cheat a little. WTF! Those eyes get me every time and i cave in. They are wonderful pets. Liking indoors and outdoors. She OWNS me. Love the video.❤

Well when my shih tzu does something wrong she would run away and try to seek help from other people like my aunt or my mom or anybody even me and if she ever walks I would pull their leash but of course I didn't do that my mom said to do it or they won't walk if you don't pull but I was scared they would choke or something that's why sometimes I just carry her home then

Mine is fine the biggest issue i have with mine is potty training. She knows how to do it outside she knows she gets rewarded for going outside but ocasionaly she pees inside on a puppy pad(i dont reward her afther i just put her outside if i notice she peed on the pad) when its dry its not so bad but when it rains she hates going outside to pee and will try and wait till i go inside so she can pee on the pad.

Try to put him in a pee schedule. 3 times a day at the same time. It's also important to deep clean as they will smell and pee on the same spot. Also, the crate should never be used for punishment. Crates are for them to feel safe. When I forget to take my dog out at the right time and she pees in the carpet it's my fault.. not the dog's. 🥺

He's peeing due to separation anxiety. Can gizmo go to bed with you? And putting him in his cage is a preventive measure not punishment if done before he commits the incident. Good luck. Shih-tzus are breed to be a human companion. They literally need to be with people
