As a kid, I remember sitting down with my grandparents every night when I was with them to watch Wheel and Jeopardy and we'd play along, trying to guess the answers. Sometimes, I'd get it right and sometimes not. It was fun. I miss those days. Wheel is an active engagement in spelling for a child as not all the words were difficult or long. It was just a matter of getting the right words in the right order. And then that sense of joy and accomplishment if you guessed it right before the contestants did was always rewarding.

I have watched wheel of Fortune since it started with my family and I still do today with my husband, I am 48 and my husband is 51. It's very entertaining and fun, I remember when they had prizes on the game show that was earlier back in the day!!!🇺🇸🤔

Thank you so much for another great video Facts Verse. If I had to choose between Jeopardy and Wheel Of Fortune, I would choose Wheel. Back in the day I would try to answer questions on Jeopardy and didn’t do too good. Since I was in a coma in March of 2018, my memory has gotten a lot worse. I used to always play hangman as a kid and I think I would do a lot better on Wheel Of Fortune. Thank you so very much for another wonderful walk down memory lane. 👍

Back in the early '90s I was at tapings for WOF when they came to Chicago. It took longer than 10 mins. for the stage hands to set up a new puzzle board. Charlie O'Donnell did the comedic warm-up during the breaks between shows and was quite funny. Vanna was unbelievably skinny. She looked like you could put gum on her nose, grab her by the ankles upside-down and use her to get coins out of a sewer. LOL!

I tried for many years to get on WOF when you sent in postcards for the opportunity and if chosen on a random draw, they'd pay for travel & lodging. No luck. When it changed to pay your own way, I still tried because I had people that volunteered to pay my way because I couldn't afford it at the time. Why? Because I was that good. We'd play along at the local tavern and the "house" would give you a free drink if you solved the puzzle first,...one guess per puzzle per person. I won a lot of free drinks. I still watch it and solve puzzles 3-5 letters before the contestants. [Wink.]

I got angry with Wheel when a contestant guessed the puzzle but was disqualified because of his pronunciation of a word. He didn’t mispronounce it, he had an accent. I haven’t watched an episode since. Would they disqualify a southerner because he would say ‘dawg’ instead of ‘dog”?
