Completely off-topic from this video🙄: We are the adventuring family who have been following your journey for the last 4 years---we're the ones that have been living in Israel, Jordan, Egypt, etc. A couple of times, we commented here on your channel because you have taught us how to film , edit, narrate, tell important stories and, as my youngest says, "Fix trucks." Well, now we're back Stateside. After 10 years of being gone from North America, it's nice to watch your videos and be able to stop by an AutoZone or a local shop that has what we need. Man! We are glad to be home! We are actually taking a break from adventuring on the road. Our lambies love being stationary for a moment in Utah. But, we continue to watch your posts. You have a gift, and thank you for all you do! P.S. Because of you, we have instilled the motto with everyone we know: "Take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but foot prints." ❤

A minor correction, if I may. The evaporator control is what cycles the compressor on and off. Basically a thermostat with a temp probe on the evap that keeps it from freezing up. Sometimes this is built into the actual temp control knob/slider on the dash, sometimes a separate part somewhere under the dash. Used to be a mechanical thing, but usually electronic from the 90's on up. The hi and low cutoff pressure switches under the hood are for emergencies only (hi if you get a clog etc, low if the freon leaks out). Nothing to do with the normal operation of the system. Sometimes there are additional pressure switches for fans, etc.

Old ag machines like IH combines from the 70’s and 80’s have simple analog ac controls that would be straight forward to adapt to circuit board delete projects.

That 12 valve is definitely a forever engine.

I’m sure someone’s already asked you but are you going to add any power mods to that 12v? You can do some minor tweaks to the fuel system (fuel pump) and you’ll get some more HP for starters. Love the vids.

did this affect the voltage regulating? speedo, tach, fuel heater? That all goes through the PCM. Or did you find an analog means to mimic that?

The AC coils block airflow to the intercooler and rad, deleted the one on my camper hauler years ago and haven’t missed it. Cooler EGT’s and better performance on long slow climbs up FSR’s while loaded

Totally, that’s why I’m an HET. Fwiw I live in the Pacific Northwest and don’t need AC, id rather have better torque and cooling. Thank you for sharing your considerable knowledge

Please clarify, you took both wires to the switch ? Both on one side of the switch or one wire on each side of the switch ?

Ac? I would think one would only worry about heat where you are traveling most of the time ❤

Pcm delete is so silly. Computers are the most reliable part of a car.

The TIPM, ECM, and circuit board on the VP44 IP are most definitely not the most reliable parts on these trucks
