I've got from eBay and it does the job pretty good. One can't expect wonders things from a $ 12.00 pump. It will keep you going until the next gas station instead having to call the Motor Club for nothing. I'm happy with it.

Hi admin and all I had a flat tyre of shift car this morning and I use this for 20 mins and psi level went to 60.. The black lines are in 5 psi increments, so 36 psi is just above the small black line below the one marked 40psi. If you look at the dial at 1:11 in the video, your needle should end up only slightly higher that where my 33 psi is.

It probably would, but on a tyre that size you'd probably have to let it cool down after about 10 minutes use and then continue again

Use a jack to lift the wheels off the ground. A manual air pump can do it.

@K A You could but also short leads with alligator clips on each end would work. Clip one onto the silver positive and negative and the clip them on the respective battery terminals. That way you don't have to butcher the cord.

i could advise u because i did these kind of circuit or connexion several time. I keep all my formers 12V chargers from former devices out of order ( phone, scanner, etc ) since 15 years. I managed several time to plug each of them with others devices like fans , pumps, lamps/lights and more. Just keep in mind to check the voltage ( 12v ) of ur battery or your former charger. That works perfectly ( i apologize for my bad english language, its not my native language )

well, in short: No. In detail: The compressor draws about 6A. That means that you draw about 0.7Ah per flat tire. If your battery is in a bad shape or low for some other reason, you risk depleting it completely. You can avoid that by leaving the engine running. However, a new and fully charged battery has about 30Ah-50Ah meaning that you could run the compressor for at least 5h and inflate 43 tires with it. Oh and one more thing: Never leave them unattended, they are a fire hazard (the 12V cigarette outlet of a car is sometimes only rated for 5A so you are running them over their specs in that case (they usually handle it just fine though). I have also seen the connector catch fire while in use).

No my battery was a bit low so I ran the engine. With some cars the ignition key needs to be turned to the 'run' position for the cigarette lighter to function.

Does the cigarette light plug normally work ok ?. If it does, there could be a fault in the compressor itself. Also, check the full length of the power cable for any damage or exposed wire that could be grounding off bare metal.

Own one myself Pros: Can inflate standard Sedan, SUV, bike tires Price Portable Can save in an emergency Cons: Loud Can get hot fast PSI gauge reading can be off from a Pencil Tire Gauge Short cord (little maneuvering involved) Feels cheap Only runs through power source (some cars don’t have this feature so battery adapter may be required for your vehicle or even a portable battery/generator). Overall: I’d keep it as a backup & for the price it gets the job done. Personal Opinion: A lot of other options out there that work great for just under $30. If you want a solid investment. Put a budget at least to $100. (Cordless, battery powered & some come with backup a cord just in case battery dies out).
