My pick for honorable mention being the second time Carmelo Hayes and Ilja Dragunov faced off in 2023. The first time they met was in the main event of Great American Bash in Cedar Park, Texas with Hayes retaining the NXT Championship in what many of us would consider one of the greatest matches in NXT history. But their rematch at No Mercy two months later in Bakersfield, California is even more celebrated to this day. Dragunov won his first NXT Championship in his career. While the rubber match at Halloween Havoc a month later was heavily praised, the No Mercy match is still considered the best in their series.

U want to know how good John Cena is? It's simple. He's as good as his opponent. Look at the classics he's had with Rollins, Styles, Bryan, HBK, KO, and CM Punk. Even guys like HHH and Batista. But then look at his worst matches: The Miz, Sikoa, etc. If he's facing a world-renowned wrestler, he's able to match them. But when facing someone who isn't known for his in-ring skills, it's probably going to be a lackluster match.

I think the match Shawn Michael's and Undertaker had at Wrestlemania 26 is better than the match they had at Wrestlemania 25. The story, the promo package with Placebo's cover of Running Up That Hill and the emotions once the match was finished was brilliant. I also like the small hidden detail they told at Elimination Chamber 2010. Shawn would go to any length to goad Taker into accepting his challenge at Wrestlemania that year, even if it meant seeing his then arch rival Chris Jericho win the World Heavyweight Championship

Don't agree the match was set out to make Goldberg and Lesnar look bad at XX. Agree it was bad. But I take that as they come out crowd went nuts and they fumbled to a finish.
