RIP Sean we graduated the same year from L.B. Wilson and I actually got a pic with him on graduation day. I remember when he played for the Padres I went to a game they were playing against the Mets (the only time I saw him play in the bigs) and guess who got the walk off base hit? Sean. Such a cool guy. RIP.

Sean accomplished a lot in such a short time. He still had work to do. Gone way too soon. 🥺 I had the pleasure of meeting him when he played for the Bridgeport Bluefish in Bridgeport,CT. My brother and sister in law hosted him when he needed a place to stay in season. Sean was a pleasure to sit down and have dinner with. A very nice and down to earth guy. I watched him play as well. He’ll be missed by many for sure including my brother, sister in law and my nephew. Rest in peace Sean 🙏 ❤️ ✝️

I live in San Diego California for 16 years. I was fortunate enough to go to the game for World Series in 1998. Unfortunately, the Padres got swept by the New York Yankees. Anyway, later on I was able to see Sean play third base for the Padres. One night in downtown San Diego He, and a bunch of the other players were at a restaurant bar. It's always cool to see the people who are playing on the field. I just watched this video and went to the Wikipedia page about him. I was stunned to see that he died.

His father Jeff Burroughs, now 78 was the 1974 American League MVP playing for the Texas Rangers but after Sean debuted in MLB in 2003 he couldn't keep performing at the same level of his younger years. Then he became an addict and soon was out of baseball but made a comeback in 2011. Yesterday he left his 6 years old son in the park and before returning to assume his coaching duties had a cardiac arrest after parking his car. Paramedics tried to revive him but was declared dead on the scene. Sean was 43.

@@Tinkidink I was Major League pitcher that started out in the 70s, look me up little man last name is bair. Looking at you I'll go out on a limb and say you probably never made it bigger than a second string bench warmer on your high school team. Burroughs only played about 4 regular seasons. Do your homework DA. And yes, I would say he was a bust after being drafted in the first round.
