I love your videos! As an amateur chili head, I thoroughly enjoy watching you guys take down the worlds hottest sauces / chilis. I'm blown away by Nick's tolerance at such a young age, and although I'm late to the game, your videos are the reason I got in touch with puckerbutt and now I'm growing some little reapers of my very own. Keep it up, you guys rock! ;)

You guys rock! The hottest I can find at a supermarket are the fresh Ora ge habaneros (recently moved to Texas) but I absolutely NEEEED to fingers ghost peppers or morugas for my eggs...not just for the heat, but because the earthy/fruity flavor is amazing in an omelet on a bagel with cheese. Question.. Are the hot sauces hotter or cooler than the actual pepper? I don't know why I asked this.. But I just think you guys handle it like a boss ;D and how do they make the hot sauces like The Source and others? Thanks :)
@CrudeBrothers
@CrudeBrothers 9 жыл бұрын
Martin Arkley it depends ... generally, the hot sauces are not as hot as a whole fresh pod (also, fresh peppers are hotter than dried) ... some of the extract sauces, like The Source, go beyond all the peppers for heat - they are basically a concentrate of capsaicin (the active component in peppers that make them hot) ... www.scottrobertsweb.com has a great Scoville chart of different sauces and peppers

Nick is the Man. I think I am going to buy this since it's fresh and possibly tastes good. I don't think I can do heat just for heat. I need some good flavor. I did Daves Insanity Sauce a long time ago; not sure how this compares. The benefits of Capsaicin are tempting. I wonder how much one has to take to get the endorphin rush?
@ironmantis37

I really love watching all of your videos. I don't have any friends that can handle a lot of heat like I can, so it is nice to come to KZbin from time to time and watch other people do what I can do and see them suffer instead of having people watch me suffer. Also makes me feel like less of a weirdo for liking this type of pain. You kid rocks. I hope to get my grandson into hot foods. I will be ordering seeds from Ed and growing these Reapers myself this coming summer. Got any suggestions for other super hots to grow? I am looking for something with a sweet fruity taste. I like the taste of every Trinidad Scorpion Moruga sauce I have tried (haven't had a Reaper sauce yet, but am getting Cajohn's Reaper Sling Blade soon), so I have been thinking of growing that one as well. What do you think of the Yellow 7 Pot?
@CrudeBrothers
@CrudeBrothers 9 жыл бұрын
ironmantis37 Thanks for the great comments ... sorry about the delayed response ... haven't had the Yellow 7 Pot yet ... we did have the 7 Pot Brain Strain in one vid ... what did you think of the Sling Blade sauce? Nick reviewed the Cajohns Reaper puree in an older video ... the Cajohns Trinidad Moruga puree is good, too ... let me know what you think of the Reapers after you try them
@ironmantis37
@ironmantis37 9 жыл бұрын
I like the Sling Blade, but I was expecting it to be hotter. I think the Trinidad is hotter. The Sling Blade doesn't really hit my mouth hard at all. Seems all the heat goes straight to my throat. I will be sure to to let you know what I think of the Reapers. I have seven of those growing in my front yard so they don't cross with what I have out back. Out back I have Caribbean Red Habanero, Red Cayenne, Black Hungarian, Melrose, Lipstick, and Yellow monster. So seven different types. Four hot and three sweet. I have twenty plants of each of the kind in back. So hundred twenty seven pepper plants. My entire back yard and most of my front yard is a garden. Growing a lot of other things besides peppers.

Jay, I want to ask you something. In your opinion how hot is Reaper Squeezins really. Not scoville rating just your perception. 1. Is it hotter than the reaper puree? 2. What EXTRACT sauce would you put this on par with? Thanks and have a great day.
@CrudeBrothers
@CrudeBrothers 9 жыл бұрын
palavos 3 I assume you mean the CaJohn's Reaper puree that Nick reviewed in that early video ... good question ... this was very similar (heat wise) to the CaJohn's puree (both are almost entirely mulched up Reaper pepper ... for extract sauces, it probably was on par with Blair's Ultra Death or Frostbite

I'm 13 and got a dare to make a video of me eating a dried ghost pepper and waiting to eat or drink anything for 3-5 minutes. I've had the death sauce at taco mac, love really hot hot sauces and have eaten a habanero and even part of a ghost pepper before. My dad says I can't do it but do you think I have enough tolerance to do it or should I wait? Also your channel is awesome I'm subbing :)
@CrudeBrothers
@CrudeBrothers 9 жыл бұрын
BossCreations13 if you had 1/3 of a dried ghost and handled it, you'll be fine with a whole one ... just make sure you have a full stomach of healthy food before doing it ... also, if you want to drink something - drink it - it doesn't diminish the challenge ... we've done superhot peppers with and without (7 Pot Brain Strain vid) ... if you eat a superhot - you can't avoid the Heat Wave and need to ride it all the way ... drinking milk is more of a psychological assist

Liams_Lyfe film what you love and ignore people who tell you that you can't do something or shouldn't do something - go with your heart and don't be afraid to make mistakes ... it's like the one comedian said "we're all the same schmuck" ... so, you might as well have fun with it

PatternsOf Unpredictability you can always start with a bit on a toothpick ... the taste is very good ... a few drops on an omelet is great (if you like major heat)
