That Scottish-built ship travelled further than any other ship in history, 6 million miles. It's hard for younger people (anyone under about 45!) to realise just how famous this ship was in the day. They called her the most famous ship in the world, and she was. Great video!

Okay Dale, I've now watched it all. Have to say I've enjoyed this the most out of all your videos I've seen. I'm from Southampton and grew up watching the QE2 sail in and out. You showed us the cabin, where people now eat, saw the outside, and two tours one from you and the other from the chap who worked on board. Well done. I know how hard it is trying to keep things interesting when you speak. Maybe a video on the Orient Express

This boy can not only talk the talk, walk the walk, also has the suave moves to devour a Dubai, High Tea with the added Scottish humour of dropping the Chicken Wellington on the dining room floor. I remember when I was a teenager some 35 years ago, the fish and chips were fish and chips. Fantastic cod moist and a crispy batter, and the chips were fluffy on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside. Man those days were GOOD.

Dale I did laugh when you picked up the Chicken Wellington & the chicken fell on the floor.😆 I stayed on the QE2 in 2019...which I enjoyed. I swam in the pool & was able to go out on the deck after having dinner. The gift shops & spa were all open too. It's not just you Dale, I got a little lost also....but it's fun to explore this historic liner. Peter seemed nice & very entertaining. How amazing that he used to travel/work on it back in the day. I sailed on this ship when I was a kid. Also used to enjoy staying on the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA., but I heard that one has fallen into disrepair. Get some deck plans and try exploring closed off areas of the ship. My access to lower decks on the QM was provided by a still functioning freight elevator. Enjoyed the video, sir. Cheers.

My grandmother Cruised on this ship from New York City. Back when they allowed Bon voyage parties I as a little girl along with my family came to see my grandmother off on her cruise. This video gave me back great memories of that time period. She was a painter and i have a painting of the ship that she did. Also you're eating had me In stitches. I couldn't look away but I wanted to lol. Thanks for this video

I've recently discovered that I'm nearly half Scottish, so I'm happy to come across a You Tube channel hosted by someone from Scotland. And the rooms on cruise ships are rarely as large as hotel rooms unless you book something like the Owners Suite.

@@MaxKingsley72 Not that it is any of your business, but there are many people who have been misled or lied to about their ancestry and I was one of those people. I don't believe either of my parents were aware of their strong Scottish ancestry, and, rather than check on the accuracy of what they had been told, preferred to perpetuate the belief that we were of other ancestry. DNA does not lie, and that is how I found out about my ancestry and have begun making contact with distant relatives who live in places like Scotland and England. And really, you should probably go back to school so you can learn to spell properly!
