Here, the po po would sometimes get a warrant from the magistrate (as opposed to a traffic stop) after seeing somebody driving they already know license is suspended. Then they sit on it until they feel he has some weight, and then they serve it. That way they don't have to have independent probable cause.

Back in the mid 2000's I used to catch hell gettin pulled over and going back and forth to the county for suspended/ revoked drivers license...it took damn near 10 years to finally get my L'z back

I’ve never been harassed more than when I lived in the 60s. Got pulled over by IPD (Inglewood) on Hyde Park and 11th. Ladera Sheriff on slauson and crash unit every where in between. They’d be so disappointed for years. Lennox Sheriffs (racist) finally got me with my registered weapon under the seat. They did everything illegally and wrote it up as I was the aggressor. I can’t imagine what they was doing back then.

They used to play those little tricks/ IPD and Sheriff overlapping LAPD jurisdiction and Vice versa. When I was in Culver City court with Sliproc the sheriff raided his spot on 11th and 63rd. I believe he got it thrown out for being illegally out of their jurisdiction.

I did over 10yrs in County on DWS & over 80gs in fines, had to file bankruptcy to finally be too legit to quit 😆.... Don't miss them dayz. Started from 2 DUI's 1 week after getting my license. Come to Florida before Covid all the way in the 2000’s if your record was bad enough and you got hit with driving with a suspended license after 3 times is a felony. There was cats doing 5 years in state prison for habitual offenders for suspended license
