*Really enjoyed this teardown!* 99% of reviewers don't do anything close to this. I like what I see from Tynee so far, Aidan has made a great start away from his "other brand" starting with W. That Caliber truck close up though, oof. I used the same one on my longboard but the gold has faded now lol. I like the Caliber II with matt finish, they just wear better than the glossy ones.

@@KAMiJUINs As much as I love Caliber trucks, I don't think it would be fair for me to take it, many out there are more deserving than me. I am fortunate that I can buy 1 easily but there are people who love skating but can't afford it yet - I think they deserve it more than me. Thank you for the gesture, I really appreciate it. great quality video as usual. i however dont like this setup cuz its almost the same thing as the ownboard w2. and that was just superrrr cheap feeling and the deck was like a thin trampoline. with my type of riding, it doesn’t suit me much… but great video as usual

Hello, I would really like some help seeing as you really make an effort examining the boards. I have a question. When you look at Backfire and Exway boards the enclosures of battery and ESC they are totally independently sealed which makes them water proof even when the board flexes whilst boards like the Tynee just have a cover placed over the enclosures which I find less believable and thorough. What do you think?

It may differ a bit in water resistance, but even so, all three boards are rated as a life-waterproof grade. I mean, not that much difference. However, you should refrain from riding on wet roads for safety reasons. (Very slippery) Thank you for watching !

안녕하세요, 영상 잘 봤어요 전동보드 입문한지 4개월정도 되었는데요 영상보다가 끝에 최고 가성비가 벨트드라이브 보드라고 하셨는데 제가 스타크DT를 타고 있거든요. 벨트드라이브 보드랑 바퀴내부에 모터로 구동되는 보드랑 어떤 장단점이 있는지 궁금한데 알려주실 수 있으실까요?

네 안녕하세요. 허브모터드라이브(인휠모터)의 특징은 조용하고 부드러운 회전 질감이 장점이라면 모터자체가 바퀴이고 기어비가 없어 모터의 회전수가 곧 바퀴의 회전수와 같아 힘이 부족한 단점이있습니다. 그리고 구동축(모터)에 여러타입의 바퀴를 사용할 수 없습니다. 또한 구동축이 딱딱한 모터이다 보니 승차감도 조금은 아쉽습니다. 주로 저가형 전동보드 구축에 많이 사용하는 방식입니다. 벨트드라이브는 모터와 바퀴에 각각 풀리(기어)가 벨트와 맞물려 돌아가며 이로인해 기어비가 생깁니다(자전거 기어와 같은원리) 이로인해 강력한 토크를 발생시킬수 있습니다.(언덕같은 경사로와 즉각적인 가속감등이 허브모터에비해 뛰어납니다) 또한 기어풀리의 코어타입에 따라 여러가지 경도의 바퀴와 여러가지 크기의 바퀴를 사용할 수 있는 장점이 있으며 허브모터에 비해 구동축까지 온전한 바퀴를 사용함으로써 주행감이 더 좋습니다. 주로 중.고가 전동보드에 사용되는 방식이며 단점으로는 벨트가 소모품이며 허브모터에 비해 드라이브 관련 부품이 많다보니 고장시 유지비가 조금 더 듭니다. 소리도 허브모터에 비해 크지만 사람에따라 이를 장점으로 느끼는 사람도 많습니다.(소리가 좋음) 이해하시는데 도움이 되었으면 합니다.

Your "Advantages of High Voltage" section is incorrect: 1. More Torque: The amount of torque produced by the motor depends on the motor current and torque constant. This is completely decoupled from the voltage of the battery by the ESC capacitor 2. No Voltage Sag: This also depends on the motor characteristics - assuming the motor is designed for the voltage of the pack (which it should be), you can expect to see top speed reductions from the pack SoC and pack voltage sag during high current draw. 3. Heat reductions: The only physical improvement in this regard is the I^2*R loss on the DC bus (the wire from the battery to the motor controller). This is not a large improvement, those cables have very low resistance. Despite the pack voltage being higher, the current through each cell in the battery pack will be the same for the same power. This creates the heat loss in the battery. 4. Increased Max Speed: Depends on the voltage constant of the motor. If the motor is designed for the pack voltage (again, it should be), then this isn't necessarily true. For the same power, if you want higher speed you are sacrificing torque (torque constant of the motor). TLDR you cannot get these improved stats by increasing the voltage (or the current) of the pack. You need to increase the power to achieve more speed/torque. This is why there is debate around the benefits of 800V systems for EVs - there is not a clear engineering advantage. This is probably done mostly for marketing in this case.

또 궁금한게 있는데 보드를 타다가 ESC가 타버렸다던가 하는 경우는 없으셨나요? 밀폐형으로 엔클로저를 제작 하려고 하는데 이걸 방열판이나 쿨링팬을 또 설치해야 하나 싶습니다. 설치해야 한다고 하면 그냥 데크 상부로 빼야 하나 싶기도 하고요

타버린 경우는 없었습니다. 밀페형으로 제작하신다면 방전률이 충분한 배터리구성과 VESC tool에서 아웃풋 설정시 출력을 낮게 제안한다면 가능하지 않을까 생각합니다.
