I thought this channel was shut down? I haven't watched Tek Syndicate in years, but it is good to finally see them back.

Do you remember love? 745$ without the android stick, it's a very reasonable price. 120hz itll pair well with even the new consoles

Why would anyone want a gaming projector? Price says its $900. For that price, you could get a Valve Index that is higher resolution and has a bigger image from the perspective of the viewer. Or if you want something higher resolution, you could go with the HP Reverb G2 for $700, which would also probably give you a bigger image than that projector but with an FOV smaller than the Index, and the image would be 3D and extremely high resolution. Projectors seem like they were something I would have found exciting in 2008 that has now become obsolete because of virtual reality.

2 different things.

I own a HP reverb G2 and I'm getting a BenQ TH685i, 1) you can connect PS5 on it, playing flat games from PC, 2) when temperature is warm and hot it's very annoying use VR for whatching a movie for 2 hours, 3) you can have a very real big screen in your room for watch everething. They are two different things, you can't play flat games on VR headset, as you can't play VR games on the projectors.

How do you (or anyone who sees this) think this projector would fare as a dedicated sim racing setup/room through an Xbox One X?

I have an issue with this projector, when I try to set 120hz in 1080 on my PC with RTX 3080 It goes crazy and don't find the source. I'm using HDMI Cable 2.1 for 8K, it works only in 1080p 60hz, or 4K 60hz. I tried to use different HDMI cables bu the issue remain.

Hey, bud! Is this projector being displayed as a 120hz monitor in your PC's display settings? For me, it's always set to only 29hz without any visible option to switch to 120hz. Really struggling with this since 120hz is the main reason I picked this projector over competition.
@MFcitrous3 жыл бұрын
Have you resolved this? Also leaning towards this one due to high refresh, windows settings are tricky with TV/PC settings and refresh rates these days
@illyaswan3 жыл бұрын
@@MFcitrous yes! Had to set "extend" screens instead of mirroring in windows settings, then make the projector a primary monitor, then make sure the resolution is set to 1080p and refresh rate to 120hz in windows and nvidia control panel. Easy, right? 😁
