What a mind blower ! What ingenuity, patience and endurance ! And a craftsman of the highest quality ! I couldn't quite catch the word you are looking for at 01:43 - solera ? soleda ? It looks like you made a jig (a device that holds a piece of work and guides the tools operating on it), but the spanish word for jig is plantilla. Another possibility would be template - spanish: el modelo - or mold - spanish: el molde - would this be the word you are looking for ?

Please keep doing videos! I'm just starting as a builder/luthier and this project in particular is very inspiring. I'm currently refurbishing a 1940 acoustic and started watching this project while I'm working. When you opened the humidifier I got sick to my stomach immediately. I love your work. I made a replica Martin D 28 in 2004 and have made many since ( electrics etc.) I really like your method of getting curve in the back. I have a Taylor with a great amount of curve in Indian Rosewood. Thank you- I admire your work. Terry from Australia.

I absolutely love this series. I have seen some "guitar restoration" video on KZbin, and they will get the whole guitar in one video. Maybe some people like that, but looking at your video compared to these... it is obvious that they haphazardly do things that will fix the guitar in the short term, but do nothing to make it last as long as it was intended to. Great job. Thanks for taking your time and getting it right.

[If I understand this correctly] What makes this series even more interesting is that this guitar was in for repairs to begin with. AND then during midstream of those repairs Adjula Guitars caused additional, and even MORE/greater damage! The owner of the guitar gave their blessing to Adjula Gutairs to do the full and complete restoration to this instrument - AND record the process of both sets of repairs. Adjula is very, very, very fortunate to have a customer who trusts their instrument at this level of restoration. The final tuning will be the ultimate test if this work is successful.

Just following along. Not a luthier by any means. There must be times where you feel like some kind of wizard reaching into the past to recreate techniques and skills that have been totally lost between tradesmen over the decades. You must have some level of pride as you take technology of the 2020's and compel it to work for you in this restoration. I am silently proud of what your doing. May the final restoration sound as good as you envision this to be.

Maestro, you could make a really good use of the Baumgartner's heating table, for flattening and heating,with temperature settings and also with vacuum pressure possibilities. if you want to prevent the wood from reacting to lack or excess of humidity, you wrap it in the foil on the table and seal it and suck the air from it. Check his table out, he's using it in every single restoration he's working on. ''Baumgartner restoration'' channel.

The Go Bars were not always used.The cross braces were fitted first .Then glue was slapped on the edges and braces and the back was wrapped in place with rope. Runny glue would dribble down the sides of the braces and leave blobs of glue all over the inside of the top . That`s what I saw on a Tatay with 9 fan braces on the top . When did Go Bars come into use ? Valencia guitars were strapped together with rope so no Go Bars were used . The braces across the backs were not very completely glued if you see the traces of glue on the back surface . The glue was applied to the braces and not the back .

I have never seen your method of clamping before. Can you explain why you did it that way? Was it to get even pressure over all the points?

Here's another video where the luthier uses fibreglass rods. It's a full hand made build. 10 minutes in is when he starts working on the bracing. He mentions a name at about 12 minutes in but I'm not sure how to spell it. As a guitarist and a wood worker by trade I can totally appreciate and respect all of the meticulous methods and techniques being utilized here. But ultimately after being disassembled and reassembled the guitar will never remotely sound like it once did. Of course it will have a new voice, but I feel like having a new voice completely defeats the purpose of having a vintage instrument..

I see your point and I agree. When the accident happen I made myself these questions. If per chance you find an Stradivarius completely peel off and broken, what would you do? Throw it away? There is a new voice indeed, but a lot to learn, to investigate... There is a lot from the Casasnovas masters here that is worth to be saved.
