Masterful work. The respect you showed this instrument is a beautiful thing. Question: Do you use hide glue for all of your work or on a case by case basis? Regardless, hide glue was absolutely the right choice for this instrument - it needed to be put back together the way the original builder intended. Thank you for taking the time to capture this process and share it with us!
@AnjudaGuitars2 ай бұрын
Thanks for your kind words. Everything is hide glue, yes. Because everything was glued with hide glue in the fisrt place. When the accident happend there was only hide glue in the orginal parts, only the various fixes were made with other stuff, mainly white glue. The glue used is not the Titebond stuff, though, is mixed in placed, to get a better result.

Agua? Agua caliente? Algún solvente? De ante mano gracias
@AnjudaGuitars5 ай бұрын
Buenas Chimo.

@AnjudaGuitars2 ай бұрын
@ModestoRaulGattornoGalvez2 ай бұрын

What kind of glue did he use on these braces, I dont think he had the time to use hirse hide glue ehile working with the go to.
@AnjudaGuitars5 ай бұрын
It is actually hide glue. If everything is prepared, there is no problem on using hide glue with the go to. There is plenty of time.
@keithpagan62195 ай бұрын
@@AnjudaGuitars thanks for clearing that up. I like the idea of hide glue, especially on older instruments when that's what they used originally. I've seen videos of people fixing old guitars with title bond original, because it's easier to work with. My opinion if you're working on a quality or at least building a quality instrument. Every glued joint muted the wood to some degree,and hide glue isn't a adhesive like a wood glue, so there's a more like wood to wood contact. Again thanks for the information. I've been debating on setting myself up with hide glue melting pot etc. now I definitely will.
@keithpagan62195 ай бұрын
