Thanks for the coverage. The mainstream media and news paper in Bengal do not even bother to cover this type of news. We should come out from the negative environment then only Bengal will do progress. There are few corrections: Inauguration has been done in North Bengal for few Rail overpass and bypasses. 4 lane road from Kharagpur to Chichra etc. Foundation stone has been laid (tendering done and company has been selected) for 12 km road inside Siliguri town to decongest it and 6 laining for panagarh to Dankuni etc. He mentioned other projects where work order has to be issued soon. few projects where Land acquisition going on Few projects where DPR are being prepared.

Siliguri Ring Road is going to built by acquiring loss making tea gardens surrounding Siliguri. Already many real estate projects and local roads are under construction by acquiring these tea gardens, it can be done for Siliguri Ring Road as well... Most of the lands are owned by Tea Estates, so acquisition shouldn't be much problem. Acquiring land in North Bengal is comparatively easier when compared to South Bengal.
