It is always my biggest downfall is the attraction of seed packets and ooohh looks amazing then we don’t eat it 🤣. But I’m going to go through my seeds and sort what I’ll do next year and try to stick to the choices. It’s not the cost so much but the blatant waste of the harvests if we don’t eat the produce. I need to be more strict with myself. Have a wonderful week Heidi stay safe and enjoy your beautiful garden ❤️

Your garden really is beautiful and full of life Ali. You have such extreme temperatures to work with but look how much you achieve. Totally relate to being impatient! “I’ll something that makes me happy to grow” - wise words! This is why I grow tomatoes, even though I don’t like them fresh off the plant. I had a muster tomato growing in a tub of prunings that never made it to the compost. Healthiest plan I have 😂 I have the opposite problem to you. I didn’t have much cucumber success last year, so have 5 plants this year.. now I have so many cucumbers I don’t know what to do with them! 😂😂 Your tomatoes being clung on to by beans is very much like Jo’s bean archway. They’ve also found her tomatoes to climb up. Your outdoor tomatoes are doing so well. Such lovely fruit on them! The flower bed! My sedums all seem to collapse now, outwards from the centre. They never look neat anymore but the deep red flowers are so lovely in autumn. Loved the zinnia hiding under the uchiki kuri. I never expected to be doing so much deadheading in a vegetable garden I suspect you’ll soon be overrun with tomatoes, even though they’re falling off at the moment 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Have a fabulous week, all of you. Gentle snuggles for Chevy ❤

It is doing well but a freak storm hit last night and poor Gerald was out in the dark tying down my stuff and hiding garden umbrellas from high winds. A few pots actually blew over 🤦‍♀️ but no major damage. We lay in bed listening to thunder and lightning and trees cracking 😱. We love most of the things but Gerald doesn’t do glut 🤣🤣 he’s like what beans again, whereas I’d eat them daily same with corguettess. I my sedums are usually in a “full” bed of other flowers that hold them up but yes they splay out in the middle and have tiny actual support roots. I’m hoping they burst into colour soon and last year they were covered in bees 🤞🤞. I suspect your right I’ll have tomatoes galore good thing my daughter freezes them and makes soup all winter. Have an awesome week hope the family are well I know you’ve been worries ❤️❤️

Hi Ali. Exercising patience in the garden is a virtue, but there's a limit I can wait to see if something might pull to. Your flower bed is fab. I can't spot any soil and that's the way it should be. Tromboncino is fruiting, so a win there Ali. Your beans would use you to climb up if you stood there long enough lol🌱 You know all those tags I bought (a few hundred)? I'm on my last strip. I use a permanent pen. I also collect them back in and reuse. Take a photo of what you've planted and where and create an album in your phone. That's some funky looking tomato you have there! Grow everything Ali. It's all about maxing the fun factor out of your garden. You need more growing space by the looks of it (less for Gerald to mow lol). Take care, Elaine 🌱 🌸👍🥒

I’m so impatient to start ripping out stuff 🤣🤣 what kind of gardener does that oh right us 🤦‍♀️. I am probably going to rip out 75% of the cucumbers because they are huge but no fruit so 👍 they go. The vision in my head just feels right but it means like you making huge changes. I get the groove thing, it’s like I love talking to people about gardening but I don’t want it to become a “must film” thing. I was so good at labelling everything and so disappointed that said labels faded. But I should know ha ha once they ripen. Hope Jon is well and you are enjoying your garden even if you aren’t filming ❤️

If you can get Beechgrove Garden (normally on BBC Scotland) they showed you how to tie the gladioli to a cane. It's on youtube episode 20 this year. Haven't had one home grown courgette. Just get gifted them 👍 not the same though. Great vid.

We are like sisters 🤣 and yes it’s awesome. I love fall, plans changes and reflections. I’m growing basil and garleeks in it this year but think bush beans would do well too 🤞. Have a marvellous week hugs to you both ❤️❤️❤️

Latest prediction here is a warmer than normal Sept and Oct., how about by you? Have you tried the single plant loops for the glads etc.? I keep a bunch around in different sizes. Easy to stack one thing with and you can do it late in the season when needed...plus they don't show like other supports. I can send a pick on messenger if you want. I see you're getting close to 1k subs,,,exciting! Do you like the taste of the tromboncino? I've been tempted to try them, but I hear mixed reviews on flavor. Agree with you about the "Eat what you grow" idea. Hope the temps allow more garden play for you this week. Don't pull those toms yet, they look like they are hitting their stride now and just need time......been a weird year here too. Stuff way early and others way late from normal.

Oh cool not heard of them but I’ll have a look for sure. We got some horrid wind last night (why is it always at night 🤦‍♀️) and thunder and lightning and pouring rain, it back to sunshine now. It’s supposed to be cooler but a long dry fall predicted so far. I need to go through my seed box and sort what I will and will not grow next season. I have a few tomatoes finally ripening but all small varieties. 1k is exciting and scary 😱 I don’t want to be so big it’s hard to keep up 🤣🤣 as if right. Have a fab week ahead hope the garden is thriving ❤️

Ah thank you Penny , like Popeye I am what I am, hopefully people understand that and enjoy. I believe I ordered them online at Etsy as they are super hard to get here in SW Canada 🇨🇦. I’m hoping to save seed for them as only 1 plant produced this year.

Your garden is looking lovely, tomatoes are such a disappointment this year, but the entertainment continues😅, I have always waited for my Greek gigantes beans to dry on the vine, but I can’t see why they can’t be harassed earlier and eaten fresh? Not the pods obvs!😮
