Hey Ali. What a great idea to leave a section of the tray empty to help with watering. I’ll be stealing that idea 👍 That watering system for the vegpod is great also. Loving all those green tomatoes 😂😂 #tomatogate - mine on the windowsill haven’t changed colour, I don’t think I’ll be getting any red tomatoes this year. Such hot weather you’ve been having again! Have a great week 👍

I have tomatoes in brown bags in newspaper on windowsills 🤣🤣 it’s crazy but I am sure they will get there 🤞🤞. I have a few still outside in vines but as it’s cold at night 8c today at 8 am, I may need to bring them all in. Which is ok it means clear beds and manure for winter 💪. Have a fab week and look after that cold

Great "How to" Ali! I ordered some at the beginning of the year and got the smallest bag ever! I should have complained as it wasn't what they were saying in the description and made it out to be more beans for the price. I need to dig them out and sprout them. The Mountain magic seeds i bought from them too were disappointing as weren't true to type so need to re order them before the mad rush and sell out again. They both weren't cheap either, only got 6 tomato seeds and only 3 of them germinated! Take care x

Oh not good Tracy, these were $9 for thst big bag and they are lasting ages. Only thing is I need to remember to start them before I want chow mein 🤭🤭. I have over the last few years bought a few things that were inferior or not as advertised it is very disheartening. Wow that’s not good about the tomatoes 🍅, I try to buy those only from reputable sellers but even then you are always taking chances. Have a fab week I hope it’s not too bad weather wise 🥰

Great video Ali! Love the new sign! :o) That blushing joke made me laugh out loud! Sorry to hear about the baby rabbits. Hopefully the mum is ok. We need to share weather Ali. You need rain and we need some sun! It got down to 3c Thursday night and heard it was 0c in some places! Glad we are getting better weather next week. Luckily it was a sunny warm day for our child's birthday outdoor event and party this past weekend! Take care and have a lovely week!

Ha ha 🤣 glad it made you laugh Tracy it’s the best medicine. Yes we find evidence of “kills” because we have predatory birds here in the yard but we have never found babies. Gerald was quite upset but he gave them a nice burial. Oh yikes 3c sounds awful it finally got below 10 here this morning at 8c and fog but should burn off by noon. Tomatoes on the vine aren’t liking it but I have lots in the house ripening too. So glad the party went well and sun made its presence known. Have a wonderful week, look after yourself and keep smiling 🙂

That's a scary lack of rain! Hope thing improve. Love those sunflowers I didn't imagine that they'd be any good for pollinators so might get some next year. Our 3yr old granddaughter planted three sunflowers with the lack of heat and light this year only one opened so far, then last week the bloody cheeky squirrel came and bit the flower head off. She was distraught. 😬

It has been bad but next week will probably have some rain ☔️ or so they say. It keeps changing. Very cold well for me 🤭 8c this morning and foggy. It should be sunny this afternoon. Yes I was quite shocked how the burrow into the sunflower 🌻, I’ll definitely grow more next year. Oh how sad 😔 they eat these too so once the heads get a bit old I cut them off and chuck by the trees so they don’t eat the others. Hope she continues to grow more things next year 🥰

Today it's so stormy 🌬💨 outside so I can stay at home and watch videos and catch up with you 🤗 New Zealand 🇳🇿 spinach is a good idea to sow. I still have some seeds and I never tasted it. I have so many calendula seeds as well normally I harvest the flowers 🌼 for tea but this year I was lazy because I still have some from last year. There are so many spiders 🕷 out there. I don't like them since I've seen that they kill bees and butterflies on a video. Poor rabbits 🐰 🐇 29 degrees in Canada 🇨🇦 in September is that normal? We had a heatwave but now it's cooling down and from Tuesday there will be 20 to 25 degrees. That will be very pleasant. Have a nice Sunday Ali 🏖 Greetings Heidi 👩‍🌾💕

🤣🤣 I have calendula everywhere Heidi, I think I’ll chuck seeds along the road or next doors “field” so we have orange all over next summer. New Zealand spinach is more a coming one and a bit strong for salads. We have loads of spiders right now strung up between everything 🤦‍♀️ I can waft away and still find one. It has been nice with bits of rain but today is foggy and 8c this morning then 21c sun by afternoon. Have a marvellous week Heidi and hope it’s a nice sunny one 🌞

Holy cow you never leave anything the same!!!! I can't be bothered to work that hard LOL. I yanked my Traveler tomato too. Dang things were not tasty and because of the weird ripening pattern they drew fruit flies....as I didn't notice the over ripe parts. Not a fan.

🤣🤣 wait til you see what I’ve done now 🤦‍♀️ but I’m hoping it makes things much easier. My daughter blended them with other tomatoes and veg so they were “filler” in her soups. Yes they were a bit 🤢 and too many variations on ripening. But we wouldn’t know if we didn’t try right. I have some fab dwarfs from Carmel Bella farm let me know if you want to try any.
