I applied 2 coats of CarPro CQuartz Skin on the headlight lense PPF and typically store the vehicle outside. After 3 months and a couple hand washes, the PPF has stopped beading and I take this as a sign there’s no longer a layer of coating on the substrate. The body coating (CQuartz UK 3.0) lasts much longer when exposed to the same conditions. I applied the same number of coats on another vehicle with XPEL PPF on the painted surfaces. The vehicle was stored inside for the same interval, and it seems the indoor-stored vehicle seems to last much longer.

I have been very impressed with CQuartz UK 3.0 but I have the same issue as you did and the CQuartz Skin did not last very long. I was hoping to get much more life out of it. It sounds like the the elements really degrade it. The car I applied it on also is outside all the time and we are both seeing the same results. Bee, I have a customer that wants to ceramic coat his partial PPF truck. Besides Car Pro Skin & Geyon Halo, are there other coatings that will also work on PPF?

Hopefully this reply is not to late but the Diamond Pro Tech is another great option. Their body coating will last up to 18 months and their body 36 will last up to 36 months. Both very affordable options. You can also use my code at The Rag Company to save some money on one of those coatings as well. I do believe P&S Legend will work great on PPF as well. Hopefully that will give you a few more options buddy.

Yes you can but I was wanting to use a dedicated vinyl ceramic coating.

I haven't. This is the only coating that I have tried on vinyl. I do know some people who have used CQuartz on vinyl and it turned out good.

@@hartlanddetailer5670 well Gyeon makes Q2 PPF Ceramic coating also has PPF renew which is for polishing light imperfections and leaves a layer of silica so basically is like an all in one that also has UV protection, and they have PPF wash and maintain. On the other hand, Gtechniq is the one that has Halo Flexible film coating. Also CarPro's CQUARTZ skin PPF & vinyl nano coat
