got inspired from your story about your dream to study english. 5 years ago, I'm so passionate to learn Japanese, I practiced writing Kana and recite basic kanji everyday. One day I got employed in a Japanese company in Makati and gave me opportunity to attend japanese class they provided every tuesday and thursday night. I was so eager to learn and luckily I passed JLPT N5. Due to some reason I stopped studying for 5 years but now I feel like I wanna continue because my childhood dream is to become fluent in Japanese.

But for Filipino going to Japan, it is very hard because of the strict policy for acquiring Visa. I hope someday the treatment of Philippines to Japanese visitor will be the same as for Filipino wishing to visit Japan.

Things i did to improve my English: Enhanced my vocabulary. Pick out a word everyday or if you found any unusual word at the moment, check out the root meaning of it and find a way to actually use it. A habit i exercised was to write down my thoughts at the end of the day, EVERYDAY. As in anything, just to put your learnings into practice (and i'm still doing it actually, as i believe there's always room for improvement). Later on you will feel you have improved.

iN JAPAN or China or Korea, its hard to study English... because after class you can speak again your native language. In the Philippines, you will force be to learn to speak English... you have no option ... either you learn to speak Tagalog or English. After your English class you can practice your English skills right away... talk to people, talk to students, ask questions directions, engage students for a converstation... naturally, it will be in English.... Its difficult to use your native language in the Philippines... Korean? Chinese? Japanese?... so few know to speak that language... But English...? college students, you can converse freely..., Start first asking direction... ask questions pretty soon enough you are on a conversation mode... Do that daily... In 2 months, you can start to converse in English... why? You will force to.. No option. Unlike studying English class in Japan... after class hours.. , at home, at department store, what language do you use? Japanese language of course. Thanks Mana for your video.,... Another reason may I add is work opportunity.... having studied English language in the Philippines... Im sure you also studied the Filipino culture... perhaps a little Tagalog and a experience going to a few tourist spots. Executive assistant, interpreter, business guide. Or Manager of a Japanese company assigned in the Philippines. At the airport Ninoy International Airport , there was a Japanese man who was asking if somebody knows how to speak Japanese.... had he have a guide that studied English in the Philippines, there wont be any problem.
