RideADV.com.au has just reached a world first milestone on our Tenere 700's. 125,000km's (accumulated) across the RideADV fleet of Tenere 700's since late November 2019 without a single issue with the bikes. WOW. What a milestone. Tour and workshop owner Greg Yager takes you through bike set up and aftermarket parts and accessories that have worked for our bikes and some that have not over the past 125,000km's of tough Aussie bush riding. If you have any questions regarding this or any other video please drop a comment below or reach out to us via our social media pages. We wish to thank our amazing supporters and sponsors Yamaha Motor Australia, Teknik Motorsports, Barkbusters Handguards, Adventure Moto Australia, DMK Designs, Pirelli Australia and all our valued customers and supporters. Hi mate the full rundown of all the suspension testing with teknik motorsport will be out end of Jan is the plan. There is so much to go through but it’s been such a learning experience. Being able to see and experience all the different suspension manufacturers attempts at improvement and not just one companies is awesome. And it’s a credit to Tekniks who haven’t just punched something out to customers and claiming they have it sorted.

Thanks Greg, this is an excellent review of the development work RideADV has done so far on the T7s. On many of your rides I have seen how hard you and the sweeps push the T7s, and the varied and harsh terrain NSW presents seriously tests every aspect of machine reliability and safety. Your advice is well founded on experience. I have the Tekniks level 1 front and rear suspension changes on my bike and while much better than stock, the forks are not responding completely like I want them to. I'll come talk to you and Nick about how to fix that.

Awe! You cut off the ride scene right when the face melting solo started. 🤘😛🤘 I dig seeing a new episode out from you guys. Always learning something new. I also think your touring company is one of the coolest looking and sounding out there. Maybe one day I can paddle from the US to Australia and go for a ride. You threw out a quick hint of steg peg talk. I remember from the previous episode, you were using a skate board wheel. Hope you discuss new developments of that. I REALLY like your luggage racks.I like that you keep it narrow and forward. I see you do not have the cross bar connecting the two, like other companies. I am guessing you have not had any issues with the lack of extra strength. Do you forsee any issues of bending with a heavier tip over? Or do you feel the cross bar is unnecessary?

@rideadvtoursandworkshop3178
@rideadvtoursandworkshop3178 3 жыл бұрын
Charles Cummings congrats on your setup mate. Watch the centre stand as the return spring is too light and the centre stand will swing down in rough going and contact the ground. I’ve already witnessed an incident here from it happening. Haven’t tried a OB one yet but the Yamaha OEM one has a better spring system retaining it closed. Don’t know if you have access to see a B&B bash plate it the flesh but it doesn’t have the best coverage on the market. We sold the SW we used with one of our bikes, they are a good bash just the same

@rideadvtoursandworkshop3178
@rideadvtoursandworkshop3178 3 жыл бұрын
Hey, nah we have'nt tried a Hepco as we developed a specialist rack for our needs as soon as we got the bike in Oct 2019. As for the chain and sprockets chat, we've found that if you change the front the moment you can notice some distortion in the teeth you'll get a longer life out of the chain and the rear sprocket. We change the fronts at around 11,000kms and the whole set at 20,000kms. Remember the front sprocket goes around a lot more so it wears front then it wears the chain which wears the rear

Really enjoyed this video. Can't believe I'm just finding this. I'm leaning towards the T700 over the 701 (your friend at MAD TV is making my decision harder given his latest project with the 701). I'm closer to 60 than 50 and I'm finding the weight of most of the adventure bikes to be a bit daunting. My WR250R has served me well, but getting to the trails (I'm in Seattle, WA USA) means I have to truck it so the T700 is really appealing. What time of year would be best for a tour with your company? It's on my bucket list and I'm running out of time.

Hi I'm looking for some luggage racks for my T7 not sure how to view what you have available like the idea of them being mounted as far forward as possible and would like to be able to carry RotoPac's as well.

Great video thank you. Love the T7 my only concern is the exhaust hanger, it’s welded to the subframe and the subframe is welded to the frame what happen if you bent or cracked the exhaust hanger ?

Straighten it, weld it claim insurance and have it written of. It isn't ideal but I'm sure its being looked at by Yamaha

So is the suggestion that each motorcycle has 125,000 or is it a total accumulation of all the motorcycles

I live in the USA and would love to come ride on your 10 day trip in March but i really doubt that the now militant Australian GOVT will allow outside people to come into the country by then. So as soon as they do i am there i have 2 first class tickets already paid for through United
