Red is commonly associated with close combat set ups of phase shift armor. The sword impulse is a good example of the phase shift changing to red for a close combat set up.

Pretty sure the line down the mouth plate was on the original line art, that's why it's there. The slightly derpy face is pretty accurate too, though I wish they would've used the strike face like the robot damashii

I left the sticker off the eyes since it was really badly misprinted (one eye was in the middle and the other was by the ear lol), and that actually looks slightly less derpy.

to be fair, the original purpose of Variable Phase Shift armor was to reduce battery consumption due to a standard Phase Shift being a total energy hog as it being active all the time thus reducing an MS's operational limit, a VPS armor only activates right before an impact hits the MS, its the color changing gimmick makes everything suddenly go weird as several pilots treated them as some sort of custom paint job.

just some nerdy additions/corrections, ahem,*pushes up glasses*, the original pilot of the Testament is Ash Gray, hes a strange looking fellow, once hes defeated Kaite Madigan, a member of Serpent Tail, the mercenary group led by the Blue Frame pilot Gai Murakumo. Kaite (Kai-tay I think is how you say it?) has those signature revolvers, which have armor schneiders attached and can switch from shooting solid rounds to beam shots, thats what that barrel spin is for. thats all I got, thanks

just trim the pegs in the hands, and you need to cut away some bits in the hand as well but you'll see! Just test, cut, test, cut, until it fits right!

Red Phase Shift armor provides the best stat in defense while being the most power consuming. It's for melee mobile suits or noob pilot (such as Kagari's pink Gundam Strike).

Seems like the base kit DM used was the MG Blitz Gundam. The shape of the legs and arms look very similar and the knee separation is identical. I'm not sure though.

the phase shift armor in the seed timeline has many color variation, and as its "lore" suggest, red is the strongest one, it could withstand powerful attacks but consume lot of energy, suited for mid-close combat(or if you are scared of dying) it goes from red all the way to purple just like rainbows go white consume less energy than others, suited for long combat and ms that consume lot of energy for beam spam as for black im not really sure i read something like this in a seed timeline manga/book but forget where it is from if im not mistaken its explaining about shin's impulse changing colors

you can tweak the settings of the ms' phase shift armor, just like when kira using cagali's strike rouge and change the color to blue (from previously dark red for chest(where the cockpit is) and kinda pinkish white(is that even a color name,lol) for other parts, there was an explanation about this phase shift armor in a book about seed technologies which i forget what the title is(i bought that book couple years ago)(the book is mia in my parents' home)

The articulated hands can hold the weapons properly, it's also the one used in the box art.

I'd rather modify the fix-pose hands to work. Like I said, they look better and aren't so fragile.

I've noticed that you may have to shave down the inside of the fix posed hands and the handles of the pistols in order for the hands to comfortably hold them. Until I did so the hands would not completely close around the weapons and the pegs became quite stressed. Also the shield is a bit unfortunate in that only the posable hands are able to grip the handle AND attach to the arm without modification.

You've mentioned before that 3rd party kits are really bad in quality and in general and have warned against them. Is dragon momoko the exception to that general rule of thumb, or should they only be used for kits that bandai hasn't released yet? Ive also wondered about the 3rd party pre painted kits, are they licensed? Forgive me if these questions seem obvious, or simple. Im really new to the hobby and don't really want to make a mistake with buying the wrong kit. I really do enjoy the hobby (literally bought 9 kits for myself and 3 for my brothers n 3 weeks) and your videos have really helped me alot from techniqe to which ones to buy.

The hands are the same as the 1/100 Movable Fingers 2.0 by Dragon Momoko. Likely they will use the same across their 1/100 line until they issue a 3.0.

Honestly, I don`t see where is the problem with those articulated hands. I have both versions of DM`s MG Strike and Testament`s hands are much much better. I broke 2-3 fingers on Strike`s hands while trying to pose them for the 1st time, but with these : 1- they hold the guns/sabers with ZERO problems, I`ve posed this kit`s hands/fingers who knows how many times with those awesome guns and so far 0 fingers broken/stressed. 2- the only real issue I have is the wrist ball joint- it pops a little bit too easy when trying to pose, but it still holds the chosen pose perfectly fine. 3 - The fixed-pose hands look too small for this kit that is why lots of ppl have problem with them holding the weapons. As long as you`re carefull while cutting and 1st arranging the fingers they work just fine.

I extended the waist and slimmed it down to give it a better proportion. otherwise the torso looks too fat. thumbs down to DM for reusing strike inner Frame for a bazillion times.

Those hands are also copied from bandai MS hands, that's why the hands cover don't match. When I 1st saw the prototype gray scale images I can't even recognize that it is a Testament because it looks so weird compared to the original line art..... If I gonna get this a testament I will definitely buy the RD figure...
