Hands down this one is better than the third party. No fitting and articulation issues but most of all the pieces don't break compared to the Dragon Momoko one. This one looks better in reality too and although the color may be off you can always paint it. In addition it comes with water slides, lots of gimmicks, and the fact that you can attach accessories from the strike is a huge plus.

Great review, and I agree with what you've said. I owned the Dragon Momoko before and while its looks great too but its very loose and a bit annoying to pose with. I decided to order the original from bandai thanks to its color and what it comes with (stand and wd)

I just ordered this kit from amazon ( will arrive in about a month), I was wondering if anyone knows if is also compatible with the Noir Striker from the GAT-X105E Strike Noir, that is the only other MG from the seed series i have.

From the video seems like the only difference is some shapes here or there. The only flaw on my dm kit was i had to glue some spots to keep them together and i was missing a cap part. So i jimmy rigged it. It was otherwise flawless.

Do you know if this is actually compatible with the astray backpacks? I know it's compatible with the strike and the strike variants backpacks

I don't have Astrays, so I don't know. Anyway, if you check some websites (e.g. dalong.net), it may not be compatible because the backpack connector is different.

the only thing i dont like on this kit is the feet :\ its like testament is wearing exaggerated highheel pumps lol but still doesnt stop me from pre-ordering this kit months ago, after i receive this kit i custom paint it with brighter red for main color and maroon for some other parts and scratchbuild the over all feet with mg freedom 2.0 feet with other parts from various mg

I usually love high heels, like in the Barbatos Lupus, but don't know wtf is going on here lol. Looks so bad, instead of the cool robot angular lines, the roundness makes it look like a fat lady on heels xD

Just waiting for mine to arrive. But yeah youre correct, saying the DM is better than this is downright idiotic! It has better proportions, better gimmicks, better articulation, looks closer like the original lineart. The fact that it reuses one of the best inner frames of any MG kit already makes this much better than the DM and this is from someone who owns the DM version. Great video overall, the lighting gave this kit justice as it was the primary complaint people had when they first saw images of it.

Actually, I made the video slightly darker for Testament to make the color pops out. If I use bright light, the color separation would be hard to see. Anyway, thanks for the suggestions :-)

It's all about preference. Some people like the proportion of Bandai's, while others prefer the 3rd party.

So with a Regular Heavy arms + SN Igel + Paint i can get a Heavyarms Igel + SN Heavyarms custom lol Some bootleg kits are alright, just have to check reviews. And way cheaper than paying scalper marked up prices.

@R D Not to mention that their parts don't fit together well at all. I built the DM Akatsuki and that kit made me realized that I'd been taking Bandai plastics for granted.

It looks cool but it's a stupid design. Using your Flight Backpack as a Melee claw doesn't sound like a good idea at all. The right hand claw also looks too skinny and flimsy to do any real damage and by the time you get close to any other Gundam you would be Swiss Cheese. You need speed to get close to targets (Like with Justice's Backpack) but instead he uses it like a claw becoming a menacing looking sitting duck. Then you get 2 pea shooter beam guns for range when Justice has 2 beam cannons on the backpack, a real beam rifle, plus the beam boomerangs and Anchor claw will make quick work of this Gundam. Plus Beam Weapons >> Stupid claws in both range and power. All this is against another melee Gundam, against something like Strike Freedom or Destiny it would be dead before it even saw what hit him. I don't know what they where thinking but not deploying this was a good idea.
