You really need to make more videos. I always look to see has Luna's made a new one because they are very, very good! Please make more content - you are appreciated.

I recently got a pair of gouldians. One day I noticed the same symptoms as shown in the video. I treated them with scatt. its been 4 days now, the male is still having difficulty breathing. However I've noticed some improvement. I wanted to ask you when should I dose scatt again? I've heard people saying either 7-10 days and others 21. Thanks for your videos !

Only give the bird 21 days later. If the bird is really sick then the bird needs to be in a hospital cage with a heat lamp and it will take about 1 week for the bird to almost fully heal

Hallo 126BIGBO, I have a canary with airsac mites and when they are sick from this things they get puffed up (they look really crappy like a messy pengüin) and they become zombies / perch potatoes. Despite eating and drinking normally, my canary is still puffed with a messy look. In the Web is no information from this, but I have notice that sick birds tend to develop a manía of biting the perches or sticks as any other unchewable object in their path over and over I don't know why... Since last Saturday, I have been treating him with Ivermectin and today I had given his 2nd neck drop. He's still puffed up with agitated breathing, he's not okay. He's not jumping as the other canary does. I think it can take a month for a bird to recover. Maybe my bird is an advanced case already because he is puffed up. When they are puffed up or showing other symptoms is when they cannot hide the sickness no more and they are in a really bad shape and dangerous malnutrition . They should be treated before they puff up.

Got a budgie with breathing problems, nothing could be found, Air Sac Mites are the last chance. Treated her yesterday on spec. If it doesn't have any effect she'll die soon from suffocation. We don't have anything else left to help her and it isn't bad enough to end it yet. "2 or 3 days, pshhh, wipes it out" I hope she'll come around.

@@126BIGBO Thank you man, yesterday I thought I had to kill her, it was so bad, she suffered so much from severe cough attacks; a friend of mine said "don't you think she'll arrange that with herself?" so I let nature take its course. What can I say, she (Faraday is her name) is soooo much better today. It was bad over night but it got better in the morning. It's day 3 since she got her treatment. Her squeaking now is only at times and not constant anymore, she had some cough attacks in the morning that eased by afternoon, she didn't have any in the evening. I think she will actually make it. Little fighter girl.

@@126BIGBO She's almost alright, I'm so glad. She didn't have cough attacks anymore. Still breathing a bit heavy, but no big deal. I guess the mites are now all dead in her body, do you know how long it takes until they dissolve and her lung regenerates?

@@126BIGBO Another week passed. She's still doing well, her breathing problems continue to abate :-) She's never been well her whole life, perhaps now she finally gets a chance to live. No "medicine" at the moment and we're mending her immune system and organs with healthy stuff. Doctor says, due to the severe infestation some of the mites could turn into tissue and harden in her air sacs so that she might never be able to breath 100%, but he says it's nothing that would bother her much. The air sacs might just not be as flexible as they used to.

Hi sir, I just picked up a red cheek cordon bleu female finch yesterday, shes not breathing heavy like in the video, and she is very physically active, but when she tries to chirp its like a whisper /hoarse (almost like she lost her voice).. Do u think she has air sac mites? (shes in quarantine for the next 2 weeks / separate/ before I put her in with my other finches) let me know what u think please, thank you.
