Great presentation. I hunt A LOT at night here in S.TX. Unfortunately 99% of even us hard core folks will never be able to justify $17k for NV. I practically had to use a defibrillator on my wife when she found out my current NV was just N of $6k!! I just don't see the cost for the technology. It is probably embarrassingly overpriced but that is on par with any quality shooting sport equipment. I really wish manufacturers would get the concept that 10% more sales at 50% markup beats 1% sales at current markup!! But then again, you would have customers to deal with.

@paulofthewild188810 ай бұрын
@@excitationofstereocilia2103 it’s basically a sight reticle with a predetermined set of ranges adjusted to its initial magnification to optimize long range target acquisition. Hence why being able to shoot something at 9 feet with a scope like that is pretty impressive given it’s meant for distant shots. Hell you could just use iron sights at 9 feet but since it’s also got thermal integrated into it the variability of being able to use a scope for not just long range shooting but also close range AND near total pitch dark conditions just goes to show the versatility of this scope.

There is a natural solution to every problem. In this case, I make the following suggestion to you. It is important that you ignore the costs but see the success. Good, about my suggestion. Build an enclosure with an edge length of 2 kilometers with vegetation etc. so that the animals can survive there. Build a smaller enclosure next to this enclosure. Then build a group that will use drones to drive the animals from far away to the enclosure. The animals are sorted into the small enclosure and only the strongest animals are locked in the larger enclosure. As more and more prey gradually collect in the large enclosure, groups and rivalries arise. Since the animals cannot escape and cannot be fed, the only food available is coyotes. The animals are therefore raised to be one-sided cannibals. That means they only have the opportunity to eat coyotes. The coyotes pass this on to their next generation, which grows up with pure cannibalism. By the 4th generation at the latest, the coyotes in the large enclosure will only eat coyote meat because they don't know anything else. This is the moment to release some of the cannibal coyotes somewhere else, where they will then only hunt and eat coyotes, thus naturally maintaining a balance. Since they only focus on coyotes, the risk that they will attack other animals is low. The experiment would succeed after 2 years and produce a pure breed of cannibalistic coyotes. Since the costs only relate to building materials and the drones, the costs are manageable. And since there is never any additional feeding, there are no costs involved because the coyotes are only offered coyote meat either way, alive or dead. Better alive in order to train the strong animals and the hunter saves money on weapons and ammunition, but can still hunt in the enclosure because new coyotes are constantly being driven from far away with drones and so new food is constantly available for the coyotes. And with a drone you can drive and move animals over many kilometers. think about it.
