That’s what I’m talking about! You’ve got to play the Blues to lose the Blues. Grant Geissman has a strong sound, delicate phrasing and articulation with power in reserve.

Grant is just fantastic. Actually saw him last night at Vibrato (Kiki Ebsen’s Joni Mitchell Project). Sunday I’ll be seeing him again at Bogies I’m part of the crew for both shows. Lee consider sharing some more Grant.

I will listen to most anything with Hammond B3. When growing up in Rochester New York in 1960 where the drinking age was 18, we would venture into a rundown jazz club which featured a house Hammond B3. Many played that Hammond and I learned to love the capability of its sound.

The tornado in Montebello was recorded as an EF1 with 110 mph speed and lasted 3 minutes with substantial damage and injury. Your reports on your music recording and performing as well as your interviews will hopefully be remembered as an achievement as great as your musicianship. I hope the Leland’s ‘Copious Notes’ Leland will be archived by music historians. Today’s tune and description is again appreciated and very much enjoyed. 👍

I remember March 11 2020 as the first day of the pandemic. After an early morning dentist and a return to the local Trader Joe’s I was met with empty shelves of almost every bread product. When I asked if there were a delivery problem they said no. It was then that ‘supply, demand, and greed’ took its place as a hallmark of the reaction to the covid19 pandemic.

The beginning of something that has added so much to our lives and something that Lee never anticipated adding to his life. And it's fabulous! You could say that serendipity like that is Against All Odds. But, it's Lee so maybe not.

Thanks again for your videos. I'm learning lots about the various session players and I''m looking forward to the future interviews. Great idea. I'm saving yesterday's until Saturday when I'll have more time to enjoy! So sorry to hear about the tornado in Montebello. We've been in three Class 5 hurricanes and too much wind/rain is not fun. Fingers crosssed we will be spared again this coming season. Oops, I digressed... sorry. Enjoy your day & stay safe.

Reminds me a bit of guitarist Duke Levine's playing. Have you ever worked with him, Leland? His all- instrumental record "Nobody's Home" is terrific: showcases diverse guitar styles, features a great band, and it really swings. He was playing with Mary Chapin Carpenter for a while and lately has been doing experimental and world music stuff with Club d'Elf.

🎸🎸. Have homies that took degrees in music and/or taught musical theater at Fullerton, but no guitarists. Hope that CV at that speed was not a comprehension/Alzheimer's test or else we're in trouble over here (true, but a joke, not criticism). Sounds like another candidate who could market special energy and efficiency pills....
