12s MONSTER💪REVIEWED AND SENT🚀 with M2C's jackhammr 8s

New hobbywing Max5 G2 56112 800 KV combo in the kraton 8S on 12S we were able to do this with the new M2c bell crank and a little shaving on the top steering plate. You don’t have to do that to make it fit but if you’re sending it big like I do, it’s highly recommend.
ARRMA KRATON 12s= M2c chassis, suspension blocks and pins, CVD’s, center shafts, 7 mm shock kit, motor mount,ESC plate, 7075 teardrop tower to tower rod ends, 24 mm wheel nuts and of course the new bell crank. Hot racing bladder less shock caps. Vita Bulkheads,Hubs and steering links. Rolling on ProLine MX 43’s.

M2c putting some great bulletproof parts out for these! Proline Dumont 3.8 with aluminum adapter 👌 You need better Lipos, leaving big power on the table.

Thanks man and yes M2C is killing it. I got the new hex adapters. I just need to get some tires for them. I used to run better/quality Lipo‘s with a higher C rating but the problem is it’s hard to justify spending that much money on something that don’t last very long. My lipos get beat up really bad and when I run a higher C rating in this heat with these trucks geared up as high as I do I explode these Lipos they swell up like balloons I used to run SMC’s Grate lipos, but very hot but I definitely agree. I need to find better Lipos.

@AldoLoyal I am currently working on making my K8S-EXB 12S capable as well. I went a different route. I just picked up the new Hobbywing max5 G2. Along with the Castle 2028 800KV motor. Since the 2028 is similar in size to the 5613 motor I had in the truck already. It shouldn't be much of a problem. I also bought two hrb 9500mAh 6S packs.

Kraton on 12s is just insane, she's 1 of my favorite rigs to 8s 2028 1100 geared to the moon and never runs hot on my track. Totally agree big difference between that being steel and aluminum, and the all plastic xrt , i really love that rig to but just feels cheap compared to the kraton. I put that castle 2021 1260 in the xrt keep gearing it no heat issues, next i will be trying 24-46. The more i watch you run that jackhammer the more i want to build one , what a beast. My son bought one when they were released maybe ran 3 packs through it, im gonna have to go claim it. And yes i gotta get some stickers . Thanks for the killer videos. Bash on brother

Thank you so much bro i used to water them down before I ran but my water source is so far away. I had to stretch hoses out there and it was a pain in the ass to roll them back up. It might be different if there was a couple of us out there bashing all day, but just me going out for a session or two its really not worth it but it does make it much better after a rain

Got my outcast all set up with the new g2 motor and esc! Did you have any issues with steering to the left? Maybe not since you’ve got the Vitavon steering links and maybe they’re shaped slightly different. I just noticed that the pivot ball on the steering link on the left side hits the bell crank arm before it can turn all the way left since the M2C steering arm was shortened to gain clearance for the motor. I ended up grinding down the pivot ball quite a ways to get it to steer, but it’s still not amazing

That sounds awesome dude hope that works out for you. I’m running 39/32 gearing I could probably gear up a little bit. I would just really have to watch my temps. I’m good all the way through the run up until about the 12 minute mark and then she starts getting hot. But by that time I’m almost at LVC anyway

Thanks for the info! I tried to overdrive mine with a 44t pinion to a 39t spur, but it cogs at anything over punch 5. It definitely rips, but temps can be an issue.

What made you switch from an xlx2 to a mmx8s? I have a mmx8s and a 1717 1650kv motor and it runs pretty hot. I’m thinking of trying that 1721 motor but the bullet connections are different and I wasn’t sure if I could change them or not

First off thanks for your time I did the switch because the XLX2 just seem like it was a little more fragile. This truck takes very hard flat landings and that sudden impact I was breaking the bullets out of the ESC breaking fans fan shrouds just about every run I was having issues with it so I swapped the bullets on that 1721 to fit the MMX8S and I haven’t had a problem with that set up sense The only time I have temperature issues with that set up is if it’s 100° outside and I’m running hard for 15 minutes but my hot is extreme hot. I run my stuff hot 170s are normal for me when I shut my cars down, I’ve seen them up at 200 before. Yes, I burn up motors, but it’s not as much as it seems I probably smoke three or four motors a year but that’s between all my RC‘s I haven’t burned up a 1721 yet that motor is pretty solid

Hi Aldo, how did you set the vitavon steering link with the m2c bellcrank ?

What’s up buddy all I did was run a screw from the front through the link and into the bell crank. If I’m not mistaking, the bell crank is threaded. Just make sure you use blue Loctite and make sure both pieces are clean really good that’s how I did it and I did not use a nut on the back side.
