Unionists living West Belfast should move to Fermanagh and South Tyrone. They would live healthier happier lives there and would contribute more to Northern Ireland’s and the United Kingdom’s success.

All of this is going nowhere. Every year the same boring thing without any changes/improvements making the children participate a little more doing something creative like you see when they celebrate St Patrick’s in Belfast. It’s only a ‘macho’ thing show off full of hatred inside and noticing else. You’re having big problems like huge unemployment and you burn wood palets to make bonfires when you could use a lot of that wood to build chairs, armchairs, tables or many other wood things. At the same time you could teach Woodwork to a lot of your young boys and give them a resource to earn their money doing something productive. Instead of contaminating the atmosphere and having cut trees of for nothing. Think about it !

It is a shame to see kids mixed up in this relic of the past
@lucastodd42223 жыл бұрын
Aren’t all cultural celebrations based on something that happened in the past? People commemorate things all over the world and children are often involved, this isn’t unusual.
@davidcarlson83283 жыл бұрын
@@lucastodd4222 The Orange Lodge doesn't exactly promote religious tolerance, poor examples to the children. I visited Belfast a few years ago saw signs that said KAT which translates int Kill All Catholics.I saw sidewalks painted red white and blue to mark areas where Catholics weren't welcome. That is what I mean by these parade are a relic of the past. It is time to move forward not back
@lucastodd42223 жыл бұрын
@@davidcarlson8328 Fundamentally, the Orange Order is a Protestant Christian organisation that was established to promote and protect the Protestant faith, not to antagonise other faiths. Therefore, true members of the Orange Order don’t meet your description. The offensive slogan that you mentioned is not endorsed by the Orange Order, it is something that thugs with no connection to the Orange Order sometimes spray in loyalist areas, just as thugs in republican areas spray the acronym ‘KAH’, which translates to ‘Kill All Protestants’. In a way, I agree with you, in the sense that we need move on from the divisions of the past and into a more prosperous future, but that doesn’t mean we need to abandon cultural celebrations or cast stones at organisations such as the Orange Order.
