Yep, they're rare. I have an intense blue pearl 1998 quad cab short bed 12 valve NV4500 Dana 80 rear Ram 2500. It was built in 12/1997. I bought it used in 2013. I searched for several months before I found with low miles at a reasonable price.

You've built the all go no show now you need the build the All Show No Go truck. You could put a non turbocharged 6.5L GM V8 in it. I had one in a 84 C20 and it was definitely a no go truck :)

@@bcbloc02 The engine had been replaced with a 6.5L. I believe it was the 6.5L turbo but the guys who did the swap didn't add the turbo.

Parent of Twins maybe although gm did offer non turbo 6.5 engines as replacements for 6.2. I did one back in the early 90’s only thing you had to change was the oil pan.

Make the truck a compound turbo setup with a Colt "Big Stick" Stage #3 cam for more torque and EGT management. Also, would suggest using a Dana Spicer posi rearend to handle the power, plus a Banks Power air intake system with your belt driven Predator lift pump.

I just got a 94 2500 2wd long bed reg. Cab 11k miles near mint. Came from nevada and rust free. It will be a hot rod some day!

Bought a 30’ camping trailer yesterday. Got warm pulling up a long grade so I pulled over for 15 mins. Popped hood and oil was everywhere. Especially on the bottom of alternator. Dangit! Already did kdp and front seals a year ago. 🤬🤬

Could be a loose valve cover, front main seal, vacuum pump seal, or even an oil pan leak.

My uncle has that same truck but black on black. Rear over load springs, sway bar, short bed, 4x4, 12v, auto. Been trying to buy it for 10 years but he wont let it go

So are you going to disassemble and totally rebuild motor top to bottom . Or tweak the motor and keep it all original? If you can give build sheet on the 12v on what was found and upgraded Please & a thank you

Total tear down and fresh rebuild. The engine is 100% running condition, but we want to send out a reliable setup and many of the stock components will not remain reliable long term if pushed to 1000 HP

Power Driven Diesel question 1000 hp reliable? As a daily driver , reason is I would like to mirror my build after y’all not to the extreme of a 1000 hp but five hundred hp . As you probably can tell I’m a woman and I’m doing this work all on my own and yes geasy 12 v . If you could assist in a build sheet I’m gladly purchase my parts from y’all. Thank you Kari

Ha ha. I could have sold you my one owner 98 12 Valve Short Bed 4x4 I bought from the original owner 6 months ago but I decided to keep it. It was just to pristine and nice to let it go away. 212,000 original miles untouched owned by a 75 yr old man. Completely bone stock. She just came out of paint booth last month to address the clear coat issues. Just got my rear Fusion bumper in last week. It's at powder coat right now while we are getting the Carli Suspension on, new pump, Fass fuel system, new expensive headlights, redoing the headliner, s& b intake among some other small stuff. Truck is really starting to look like a brand new 1998 Ram 2500. Possibly putting compounds on it next yr. Now I have to figure out what wheels I am going with. Definitely not Fuel wheels

Not saying that an old truck like this is worth that money but it is to me and at this point it would take quite a bit for me to sell it.

Single turbo sucks here at altitude, but if the truck went to a lower altitude location, it could be fun with a single turbo.

@@pddofficial the only reason I say single is for longevity life of the engine and engine bay room since I like to have everything easily accessible to remove or repair. If I were to win it I was have go down tune it which makes me sound crazy. But I live in nyc and you cant go over 35 mph anyways without getting a ticket.
