The rugs are needed otherwise the place is too spartan & empty. But yes - no neighbours in a mansion of thís stature.
@swerveon4 жыл бұрын
@@wernerbloemwagen6878 Agreed but the problem in the first place is the stark white polished marble floors. They could have chosen any marble or stone that has deep textures and veins to "ground" the interior. Also why use standard "persian" rugs thrown around like floor matts instead of using more up to date rugs that can also be hung as large art work. Funny how the dining area did not have a giant rug underneath all that seatiing.

A house like that should have large oriental rugs to fill the floor space. It looks ridiculous to have 5'x8' rugs scattered all over the marble floors, and at weird angles, to boot. This house feels extremely sterile and poorly decorated. Shame.

Agree!! Classic homes should give you the feeling of luxury and WARMTH. This house feels so cold and empty, even the furniture's scale is very small compared to this spacious villa.
@hansenpch5 жыл бұрын
The interior designer lacked insight on selecting furniture, rugs, drapes, and pictures that match the home scale. The seller would be better off by removing all furniture and replacing with appropriately sized carpets to designate use areas. The kitchen was outdated. The only selling point is whether the home has enough "good bones" that one can see themselves living there.

A library with no books in sight (and that dreadful ceiling). Hideous fire places. Views over the side gardens? What side gardens do they mean, the neighbours appear to have built on them. The main bedroom looks bigger than my two bedroom house, but I prefer my cosy small rooms to ones that looks big enough and cold enough to be a skating rink. This is built for people who think that the more money you throw at a place, the more tasteful it is.

Lunar Waves with 14 bathrooms and only eight bedrooms I would pay to have it demolished and redone the right way. I am tired of hearing about a house that has more bathrooms than bedrooms. It’s a waste of space if a family moves there as most of those will only catch dust.

*Great.* Now I have to drop what I am doing so I can fly to Toronto, go to this house and straighten the rugs so they are parallel to the walls so I can *live my life again* LOL! "A House is not a Home" as the song goes. No photos of family and loved ones. No curios or mementos. This house needs a conservatory to provide the rooms with verdant plants and vivid flowers!! That can really warm up any room. Also all that "heated marble" looks so cold and sterile. _Soviet hospital kitchen chic._

Wow, I thought i'd be impressed and wish I could have a 14 million dollar house one day. However, after seeing this... I don't need 3 kitchens or that many bedrooms. Plus that house looks like I'd kill myself in if I had to live there. Waste of space. It should be turned into a hotel or something. No one needs thatt much space unless you have 10 families living with you. No thanks. I feel better about my own place thanks to this video.

This is a magnificent home. The interior is beautiful and eye catching and especially that gorgeous staircase. The furniture, drapes, and kitchen cabinetry are probably not the best suited for this home. The underground pool is not a good idea as it would feel claustrophobic and the chlorine odor would be a nuisance. The biggest problem with this property is lack of land. For $14 million, I expect at least 1 acre of land (45000 square feet). What about the garage?

Last few videos I've been watching were of people homeless being interviewed and then u see a house like this. Nobody needs a home like this it's just showing off, there's soo many millionaires and BILLIONAIRES in this world...they can solve homelessness all over the world if they truly wanted but most don't even help and it's so sad when there's people that r homeless and they get to swim inside of their mansion, many people that r homeless didn't choose to be and it can happen to anyone within a Blink of an eye. Instead of showing off a 14,000,000$ estate which serves no purpose to humanity show people that need help and HELP THEM.

Love this so much. The entry and stairs stunning!! I like minimalism, and the space between beautiful things is just as important or more. Full French design is just too gaudy and English design is way too busy and cluttered. I love space with very select elegant things within that space. I would only change the front doors, add a beautiful exotic stone to the fire place rather than all white, and I would use warmer colors with Burgundy accents in the same room, too cold to have white and all light light furnishings and drapes. Love the kitchen in the breakfast room, but would have the table with the same wood color as the kitchen. Dining room is PERFECT gorgeous!!! Gourmet kitchen, yes!! Would change the light green furniture in the family room to warmer colors. Love the Walnut office and ceilings! Change to warmer, rich colors in master. Really pretty! :)
