@@martymaloney1032 Very honestly, extra time and consideration of most things make everything more comfortable. Details like plugs integrated into the baseboards are something most never consider. It's also a request the electrician and finishers, or both will undoubtedly attempt to discourage suggesting an increase of the two things builders and homeowners try to avoid the most, time and money. A template must be made so the electrical junction boxes are all properly measured and installed, so finishers are able to do the cutout in the base in precisely the right place. Such a request will absolutely require extra time and money but in the grand scheme, without a doubt, it's a detail that will always be money well spent. Like the perfect set of cufflinks, few will ever take notice but to those who do it speaks volumes of so much more.

Gotta disagree with you there. Usually when a property on a older street is rebuilt it will attract homeowners or investors to buy neighboring properties / remortgage and rebuilt their home. And at the end will upscale the whole neighborhood (that is if it is in a nicer area not in the ghetto). The real value is the Lot and Location when it comes to properties. Especially with the amount of people in Toronto and Vancouver.
