Love your honesty! Om sorry that people hated on you for the wax paper hack. I think that's a great idea. We are in the process of renovations and I can only find 3 plates right now with everything packed up. The wax paper hack saves a lot of time and having to wash in bathroom sink. depending on what we eat, we can use the wax paper a second time. I think you handled your response with grace. I don't get why people have to be ugly if they don't like something. If they don't like it, don't do it. Keep up the great job! And thanks for the cabinet protectors info. We just had new cabinets with the reno and I NEVER thought about that cuz I've never had a trash drawer before. Thanks!

The wax paper liners are far better than using the water it would take to wash actual dishes. Sometimes people judge when they really don't know the facts about things.

I love the idea of the cutting board stove cover. I have the same problem in my house. I have one (ONLY 1) row of cabinets in my kitchen. The sink and stove are in this row so I only have 77" of flat workspace (which may sound like a lot but it really isn't). Add a coffee maker to that space and I hardly have any prep space. Something like that would be so helpful. As I've gotten older, I've realized that my time is valuable. Honestly, I wish I would have realized that when I was in my 30s. If spending $.07 for a wax liner will save me even 15 mins of washing dishes - it's SO worth it to me. I think it's funny how some people will condemn you for $.07 but will purchase paper towels. IMO paper towels are/can be wasteful but I'll be honest, I buy them. They make my life easier and I deserve easy because I'M WORTH IT!

If you wanted to go a bit greener than the wax paper liners (which I think are fine to use BTW) you could get some of those bees wax wraps and instead of wrapping food with it you could use it as a plate liner. They are super easy to clean and can be used over and over again.

We actually use the super cheap, uncoated paper plates in plastic holders. They are perfect for a sandwich at lunch time, or desserts etc. But you have to do what works for you. I love fresh squeezed but OUCH!! is it ever expensive!! I’ve purchased the juice at least 5X so the juicer is paid for. I bought 4-16oz bottles, kept them when empty (they were on sale at the time) and from then on bought the 64oz, transferred the large into the small, left 1 out to drink and froze the other 3. I’m really excited about this and look forward to ordering it! Found it. I’m ordering the 3 tiered shelves! Sure am glad that was in the video! Thanks bunches!!

I have never understood duvets, honestly. It's so much work. Also NO ONE is coming into my room so who even cares what it looks like? Comforters for life lol.
@lauralaforge5584 ай бұрын
Duvets are so much less work than flat sheets and nasty comforters! Plus you can switch things up with different covers. Twin duvets, one for each person is the way to go (European style). Also you can use different inserts depending on how each person sleeps. Twin duvets can go in the washer and dryer easily. Twin duvets can be a buy it for life purchase. Duvet covers can be used as a lightweight summer blanket. My mom made me some custom duvet covers where one side is one sheet the other is a different sheet. So fun.
@ItIsAmandaaa4 ай бұрын
@@lauralaforge558 I’m sorry, do you mean you don’t use a flat sheet with a duvet? I could never lol. I love a flat sheet.
@SavageSoulMade4 ай бұрын
@@lauralaforge558can you explain how it is less work? It’s my understanding that a duvet is a cover that you have to put on and take off of an insert and so you have that process to do and more items to clean? I just don’t understand how that is so much less work, unless I’m wrong in my understanding of a duvet.
@lauralaforge5584 ай бұрын
@@SavageSoulMade it’s less work than laundering a comforter and more comfortable. It is also much easier to make the bed than a flat sheet and comforter. You can also easily change up the look with a different cover. With duvet covers you already own comfortable coverings for warmer months. When everything is factored in things are much easier. You’re comparing the once a week thing but not factoring in the overwhelming positives that outweigh the once a week thing you mention. You don’t have to wash your duvet insert every week. Nor do you a comforter but without the cover to protect it, it seems like you’ve got the same inconvenience or dirty comforters. Plus comforters fade. I use only twin duvets and I wouldn’t want to put larger comforters in my home washing machine. With twin duvets each person gets their own preferred temp and the inserts can be changed if you like too. One person can have a warmer insert, the other cooler. The time it takes to put on a twin duvet cover is really minimal. I bet most people could do it in 3 mins or less if timed. I like the covers that have inside ties for each corner.

I have house plants that gathered gnats too! Then i Solved my problem i searched and searched all over to fix this learned that my plants are were they come from my plants were actually sick with even if they look completely healthy (fungus gnats live in the soil and take nutrients from the plants roots) I came upon a how to video that saved me from Plant Life with Ashley Anita - "Easy one Step how to get rid of fungus gnats" The gist is: 1. repot your plants in new soil. *Use pots that have water catcher base of about 1 or 2 inches high. (needs to be high so you feed your plants this way) 2. cover the top so they don't get in! (i purchased gravel bits on amazon made my plants look lovely too ) 3. Make the Tea: I purchased her recommended bag of mosquito bits tea on amazon boiled the recommended dose inside of a mesh bag, let it cool and then fed my plants with this. (this is a natural pesticide made with corn) it worked, my plants stayed alive and I never needed to do anything different. Then i ran out of the tea i kept in a gallon container and got lazy and a bit curious if they would come back.. I fed them with regular water (and from the top instead of the bottom) problem then came back. I regretted it so much. it was honestly not hard to make a simple tea and refill my containers. and feed from the base. I just got curious if the problem would still come back, since you know the pebbles should keep them protected and all. Now i fear they are just natural beings that just come from the soil. (not sure if that is true) but for the time being im going back to changing out the soil, cleaning the pots and boiling tea once a month for my plant babies... if anyone read this. Thanks for sticking through my story. I hope i helped in some way with some knowledge.
