Definitely not compared to the other regions. It gets hot in the summer but has very cold winters (much colder than the middle and especially southern regions.)

How do you fail to mention that the North had slaves also...in 1776 there was twice as many slaves in New York than in Georgia...!! Make sure to teach the kids the right thing....!

If you had watched my other videos you would know that Georgia originally banned slavery and was the last of the 13 colonies founded with a tiny population in 1776. In 1790 the year after George Washington was sworn in, truly putting an end to our colonial era Virginia had close to 300,000 slaves compared to New York's 20,000 combined with their 5,000 free African-Americans. Did the North have slavery? Yes. But the date you give 1776 is when the North began to abolish it. The following year Vermont, became the first Northern state to do so. By 1804 all Northern states had voted to abolish slavery. I'm hoping you know what happened with slavery after that?! If not, keep watching!!
