Thank you, Shea. I'm 64, and I refuse to bow down and start wearing "old lady" clothes. That doesn't mean that I'm going to be wearing a crop top (which you look fabulous in!), but I don't think I should be forced into a house coat and orthopedic shoes. I'm petite, I workout, and when I wear jeans, I usually do a French tuck, because it defines my waistline. Someone told me that I was too old to be tucking in the front of my top. Ugh. Just because it's fashionable doesn't mean it looks good. Do you want people to see your shoes or your face first? Wearing shoes meant for sports with jeans or dresses throws the proportions off and causes the shoes to be prominent so that the eye goes there first. Not good.

Louis Vuitton Neverfulls are practical and smart for work, especially for those of us who have to commute on trains. I have the monogram one and it is the best thing I have ever bought. It will never be dated, what will look dated is to have all sorts of colors accessories. Everyone will look back and see how silly they look and go back to the classic.

I think having a matching bag, belt, and shoes can be lovely but I can see it not working in Shea’s style. A lot of the pieces she wears are very simple and don’t have a lot of detail so I can see that whole m matching set being very obvious and overpowering where if she had a more flouncy, detailed/girly style it would blend more. Shea likes to look sleek and modern and works it well, but I’m more of a vintage girly type of style and that’s where the matchy matchy fits better

The LV Neverfull will "always" have a time and place in fashion society. I think it is an iconic bag ( that's being discontinued, btw) that's perfect for travel, a casual day out shopping, going to an afternoon lunch and movie, etc. Now, if you are getting dressed up in a cocktail dress or putting on something ultra dressy for a wedding, then pull down the Neverfull to wear with those examples... I'd not advise that.

It’s the only bag I’ve found that’s big enough and tough enough for travel. I recommend an LV with a zipper though to keep things in on the X-ray belt and stuffing under the seat. I recommend an Ebene.

When I used to go to an event and I wasn't sure exactly what the vibe was. A simple black or navy midi dress was my go-to while I always had an alternate pair of shoes, decorative scarf and an over layer in my car just incase I wanted to elevate the outfit or tone it down. That process came in very handy for one semi-formal wedding that flowed into a backyard BBQ and later became a late-night bonfire on the beach.

2 things regarding the LV Neverfull. 1) I read an article the other day, that since it's one of the most replicated bags (fakes) LV is considering not making it anymore. Also, 2) if you are the original owner of the bag, LV will replace the raw leather for you at any point in time. So if the leather starts to get too dark, you can make it look brand new!

Shoe’s definitely do transform a look from casual to chic. I love the idea of always carrying a pair of heels or pumps in the car for a quick upgrade if necessary. My rule of thumb is to always carry a pair of flats with me when I leave the house with heels on as I know that if extensive walking might arise, I am going to be in big trouble and pain if I don’t have a pair of comfortable shoes with me. I rarely match my handbag with my shoes as if I am wearing a statement piece, being either a bag or shoe, I want that to stand alone as the feature piece. White shirt, jeans, neutral jacket, and orange pumps which completely rock the outfit. At 70, I love to throw in those little elements of surprise! I wear crop tops very often; however, being a mere 4’8”, they discretely cover my midriff. For the majority of us at this age, our midriff is not an area we feel comfortable with exposing. Being short waisted allows me to wear crop tops quite well and balanced. I, by no means, dress as my mother or grandmother did at this age and refuse to step foot into clothing section of the store that is directed towards “mature” women. Just passing by, I feel somewhat nauseated and faint! Modification to our outfits is definitely necessary as we age; however, I continue to approach fashion with creativity and sense of style. Not quite ready to surrender my DM’s, tube tops, and mini dresses!

HEAVY ON THE VIBRANT, BOLD COLOUR! I went to two formal events in a Tommy Hilfiger, bright yellow dress and I received more compliments on that dress than I have ever received on any outfit in my life! And the thing is that I already knew it was going to happen simply because it was yellow. Most people wear black, browns, white, maybe some blue. So I obviously had to go for brighter, cheerful, color. And the best part is that the outfit stays in other people's memories, so they remember you more often than not. That's actually how I was able to make some nice network connections because the colour I wore was vibrant and turned out to be multiple people's fav color (So it kind of gave the outfit bonus points)

A great tip I've learned is to match your handbag with your hair color. I also really think people make more mistakes based on unknowingly wearing something that doesn't suit their body shape. For instance, I have broad shoulders and look really bad in puffy sleeves. I saw cute dresses with puffy sleeves and even though they fit great, when I looked in the mirror I looked very awkward in them. So I stay away from puffy sleeves as well as boatneck tops. I also have a rectangle shape, so I need to wear more belts and other things to create more of a waist. So I've learned lots of strategies to dress according to my shape, which is a combination of rectangle and inverted triangle. Certain necklines, sleeves styles and waist styles look great while others are super unflattering. It would be fun to see what you recommend what not to wear and what to wear instead, based on body shape (inverted triangle, hourglass, rectangle, pear, apple etc.), a suggestion for a future video. I would be really interested in that and I think a lot of people would enjoy it too.

I wore crop tops into my 50's as was skinny and no muffin top etc. Sadly now at 64 though a slim size 8 ( 4) I have a bit of a tummy and slight muffin top. However being petite just over 5'2 and having a short torso, the fab tops Shea modelled from Amazon, the ribbed ones, I ordered and they almost come to my waist and no skin exposed wirh high rise jeans etc. I won't hide away under long 2 sizes too big vests thst make you look bigger than you are and frumpy! However confession I do tend to wear my bags and shoes in the same colour..its an age thing..how I was always told was " smart" I do tend to do this at formal occasions more so. I tend to wear the colour that matches my outfit as usually wear white sneakers, fitflops or crocs ❤❤

The Neverful looks like a diaper bag, too many of the higher end purses do. As for brights, it depends on your skin tone. But a lot of times it just makes an piece look cheap. Black can hide them too, if they're thick enough, but *not* lighter solid colors. If you want or need to wear lighter leggings, I'd definitely go for a pattern. But tasteful. 😊

Love your videos, but I got to say I kind of disagree with the last tip. I do agree that just because you hit your 40s or '50s doesn't mean you need to put on a house coat and velcro sneakers but unfortunately some people take it too far. When you're 55 years old and wearing a crop top and a mini skirt with knee-high boots nothing will make you look older than you actually are then trying to look like you're holding on to your youth through your fashion. So I would say do it within reason. 🤷‍♀️

If I had the height and torso that you do I'd be wearing a crop top every day even in the winter. I'm 5'3 and 125ish. No matter what my weight I'll never have that lovely torso, so use what you've got, Shae! Doesn't matter what your age is!

I think "what you can wear" often depends on your body shape, size and fitness more than your age. Let's face it, thinner people can usually wear a bigger variety of clothing. And wear younger styles. You can dress fashionably as you get older, you just have to tweek things. Wear a waist length top instead of cropped. Wear knee length or midi skirts instead of mini (unless you have great legs). Wear your pops of color with neutrals or as accessories. Cover your least favorite body parts; accent your favorite.

Agree, agree and agree!.. Especially on ThredUp and age fashion. I highly recommend consignment clothing, for environmental concern people and because it's worth it. I'm 61 and I dress appropriately but with an edge. I don't like old lady's clothing. Nope, not me!. I work out and have always been concerned about my health and physical appearance, so there you have it!

I have literally never noticed shoe creases and I’m fairly obsessive about wearing clean well maintained shoes. Like I wipe down my walking shoes every day when I get back to the house and wash my white tennis shoes pretty much every time I take them off.

Shea, it doesn’t matter what your age only when you look the way you do. You look young. You sound young. Your shape is cute and young. You can pull it off. Sorry but I don’t want to see my grandma in that cropped top even if her ab is toned, with a turkey neck? No way. Elegance and chic mean you don’t need to try so hard. And sexy doesn’t mean you have to bare skins or try too hard. Having confidence is sexy. Dressing in junior clothing doesn’t make you look younger. Usually they have cheaper quality which can down grade your look. Choose carefully.
