I agree with everything in this video except for the silver pants. I bought a pair for New Year’s Eve to wear to party, but I have found so many other ways to wear them more casually- even at work. Cream sweaters, black, button-down, even a good T-shirt looks cute. So give it a go!

I love the first pair of denim shorts! They look much more modern than the shorter ones, as bermudas are really in fashion atm. Also I'm 57 and height 5 ft 9 with long legs and a short body. Those really short ones don't look great on me as my legs are so long. For me the bermuda style make me look much more in proportion. I love the silver jeans. I bought a couple of pairs last winter. One full on tin-foil and one more darker and subtle. I love them. I wear the full on ones with a black top and jacket and the others can be styled just like a pair of grey jeans. E.g. white shirt, grey sweater vest, grey blazer.

I agree with these except honestly i think the matching short and shirt sets all scream pjs. I buy those for my kids every year for their Easter baskets and they would never wear them in public. Trends exist for one reason: to sell things. That's it. They rarely have any staying power because unlike classics they don't look good on most people except the product models. Variations on classics can be fun, flattering and look amazing on a wide variety of people and likely worth your $$.

Lol silver pants reminded me of a pair I had in the early 2000's from banana Republic. They were cropped and I wore them with boots to a holiday party 🎉! Being 51 I lived through all of these returning aggregious trends. Like denim shorts, overalls, chunky heels and lug soles. Horrific. Boxy tops ick and the awful oversized jeans. Vomit inducing trends that need to be replaced with flattering ones. Trends reflect the state of the world right now. A dumpster on fire.

I bought 2 pairs of the Banana Republic barrel jeans in black denim. LIke you said, they're way more subtle. I didn't wear them a lot last winter, but maybe this fall I'll get more use out of them. I am not a big leopard print lover, but I have a pair of Veronica Beard loafers in a dark leopard print that I really love. You just never know, I guess!?

I liked the barrel jeans the first time I saw them. Maybe they will grow on you. Much more attractive than a lot of the other jean styles Imo. I like the boxers too, used to wear the real ones back in the 80's. The faux flowers can be beautiful too Shea! Just not the ones you are showing. Are you becoming conservative? I prefer some creativity in my clothing options.

Jorts are fire, but I don't like the ripped pair she featured at all. To each their own.
