13 Ford Focus Dash Removal

How to remove the dash on a 2013 Ford Focus 2.0 liter. This was done to repair the heater cam/gears located behind the mode actuator.

My local Ford Dealership is telling me that they will have to remove the complete dashboard just to change the Blend Door Actuator (driver's side/five-pin). Even though it is still under warranty, I don't believe they can remove and replace the ENTIRE dashboard without something not replaced correctly. Also, it took them over an hour to do "diagnostics" and find the right part number. Sheesh. UPDATE: I took my 2018 F/Fiesta to different FORD dealership and they were perplexed when I told them about the dashboard removal procedure. They said they might have to move an airbag but, yeah, they would go in under the steeringwheel as described in this video. They did it under warranty. I did get to speak with the technician who performed the work. I asked him if it was hard to do; he smiled and said "Well, it is a little tight to get back in there but, other than that, it's not hard to do."

I have a 2016 Ford Focus se and my heater blower motor went bad it’s under steering wheel left side under dash do I have to remove entire dash to replace

I have one that isn't switching properly between modes. From air vent to floor etc. I fear this is what mine is going to need. I just checked the little actuator it seems it's functioning I feel it moving as I change modes so that was my original thought but now I think it's the same thing you just replaced

I have a 2011 LW Focus that makes an odd clicking noise for about 10 seconds from this unit after i've turned the car off and opened the door. Could this be the part that needs fixing?

I have a question regarding the defroster vent on the dash. Is there a way that you know how to remove the defroster vent piece without taking off the entire dashboard. I have a terrible rattle in directly behind the anti theft light. And it sounds hollow and there is 2 plastic services lightly touching and rattling. When I apply pressure to the plastic directly behing the anti theft light the rattle goes away.

You actually need to take all that out to be able to take out the dash only? I have a problem with the connector that sits in the back of the little lcd screen, broke it, and i dont know where it comes from, and how to get to it, because my infotaiment wont turn on now. And i was curious if u need to take everything out to get acces there

Is that bar/bracket in the way of me replacing the blend door actuator on the driver's side? I see a torx screw in there that looks impossible to get to. Haven't take the steering column shroud out to see if I can do the replacement.

Just unclip, use pry tools also.

This is a 15 minute video, but I know if I try to do this it will take me 20 hours for disassembly and putting back in a new dashboard

This is only 15 mins to remove the dashboard. ME: it took me 6 hrs to get the cooling coil insid. Very hard experience😒😒😒

for anyone trying this its 10x easier to put it back than take it out the bolts behind the knee airbags are the most cunt
