I have been interested in learning a foreign language and I finally decided to chose Spanish. I started off with Duolingo and Memrise but nothing can beat an actual person explaining to you and so I found your channel. I was really surprised at the fact that you don't work for a company but rather you use your money and time to educate people in Spanish and i say a big thank you. I am slowly working my way to watching the present videos and things I could not get an explanation for immediately on the app I get from your videos. So I just want to say gracias mi maestra para todo. I'm still a minor but once I become an adult and legible, I promise to make a donation. Thank you again.

I lived in the US for a long time and learned spanish in school but recently I moved to a country where schools don't teach it which made me very sad because Spanish was one of my favorite classes and I loved all the music and culture. Love your classes, Ana! This one in particular reminds me an Argentinian song, but instead of saying estómago se decia panza: "sentia mariposas en la panza". Otra cosa, En Portugues, "chupar los dedos" es cuando alguien pierde una oportunidad de hacer o vivir algo muy grande. No imaginabas que en Espanol hay otro sentido.

"chuparse el dedo" reminds me of "do i look like i was born yesterday?". from that phrase we now have in online idioms a joke of "i was today years old" when i found out about that" when you learn something shocking yet incredibly helpful or obvious.
