He saved my soul, changed my heart, changed my mind, helped people through me, took care of people in my life, people I hurt before I found God. God is the only reason I was able to reconcile with my dad before he died. God worked through Jesus Christ to save our souls. Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son Jesus Christ, that all who believe on Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth and The Life. No one comes to the Father Jehovah God but through Him. Not long after I got saved I prayed to God for help understanding the Holy Bible, and that same day someone knocked on my door asking me if I wanted to understand the Bible. The Holy Bible says, "love thy enemy", "turn the other cheek", "If your enemy is hungry, feed him", "if he is thirsty, give him a drink", "pray for those who persecute you", "do not repay evil for evil". LORD willing, all humans may commit sin of almost every kind (gay, straight), and that's wrong, and all humans sin, as God tells us through the The Holy Bible, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." The Holy Bible also says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

One thing I'll say for this movie: it didn’t do the "love-interest ditches fiancé in favor of protagonist" cliché. Ruffalo's character was tempted. Now, time-travel gave her a second chance, but the fiancé never had to get screwed over to make it happen.

Yeah, even watching this in 2004 when I was still in my teens, I always liked that he was like, 'no, I may have faltered a little, but I'm marrying Wendy. I'm not giving up happiness now for a maybe with you.' Whether it would have worked out or not for him with his marriage is irrelevant. Asking him to leave his fiancée at the alter was not it, Jenna. @jessicahavens-ziebarth94095 ай бұрын
@Kwildcat13I agree, Therese something less appealing about Wendy. It’s probably jealousy popping up and her adult rational side tamping it down. Great performance from a side character with very little screen time. But honestly, if you were this character: who wouldn’t be a little nervous and suspicious but try to play it off as “not insecure” if their fiancé was suddenly hanging out with their old middle school BFF who he had been really close with in middle school and then dissed him so she could be cool. If they had any kind of intimate communication, he probably would have told her about his middle school and HS experiences. Wendy didn’t do anything remotely wrong. She didn’t even do anything rude or unfriendly. Literally she’s so nice except not showing interest in learning more about Jenna who suddenly showed up.

Just watched this again recently. Not gonna lie; other than being a little annoyed with how Matt didn't come clean to either woman when he recognized what he was doing was wrong, it was REALLY great how Jenna accepted the rejection. Yes, she came for the last-chance begging, but she didn't make a scene or try to hurt the bride. "I want you to be happy because I love you," is underrated and glossed over, but is such a mature and healthy response to rejection.

What I really like about some early 2000s films is that the male love interests aren’t mister chad faces. I keep seeing modern attempts at the same sort of romance and it’s just the most generic attractive guy and then a model and then they kiss. When there are LOADS of male actors who are favourites among women that would probably fork over a leg to see as a love interest in a romcom. Women don’t just swoon over appearances but also the sweet personality of an actors portrayal. Honestly I think there just needs to be better writing across the board if romcoms are to work again!

Could not agree more. The best part of this movie is the relationship between Jenna and Matty because they actually feel like real people who have genuine reasons for being in love with the other. Like you said, we used to get more of these romances in the past. Nowadays, people fall in love with very generically good looking people with very little personality. Apart from indie stuff, we pretty much never see the interesting/more talented actors being romantic leads (Driver, Ruffalo, Bernthal, Fassbender, Phoenix, Kaluuya etc.).

I unironically love this movie. Sure, it has some issues, but it’s just so fun and sweet. And Mark Ruffalo and Jennifer Garner have amazing chemistry - not surprised they were cast as a couple again just a couple years ago in The Adam Project. Also, the casting of the 13 vs 30 year old actors is spot on - they actually look so much alike.

I subbed at a middle school, trying out substitute teaching, and I was shocked at how middle schoolers try to act grown up, but at the same time like being treated like little kids (granted because they are). It was so weird to me that I was forced to laugh at my past self randomly and somehow it brought back some good memories. But yeah, that was quite interesting to me.

4:11 I'm in my mid 30s, never seen this movie and if there are any late teens/twenties reading this, my back and knees hurt, my ankle is always clicking and I have mild RSI in my wrists, past of that may be down to being active military, but most of it is because I'm old. When I was 13 I wanted to be 40, and kept wishing that until I was 23 when I finally start to make some adjustments in my life mainly because of my job at the time. I am 29 now and I don't have the urge anymore to be 40 because even though I like myself as I am and even though there are stuff that I still need to solve, the worst years of my life were when I was a teenager.

I watched this literally three days ago to cheer up, and I never realized before that Tom-Tom's scarf is symbolic for the negative influence she has on Jenna. The way the pattern is similar to her Thriller party dress - but a lot more present - shows how being around Matt makes her a lot more confident and comfortable with herself. Believing that being like Lucy would make her a better version literally blinded her before.

This movie is so weird. It's not like freaky friday, but this 30-year old woman just randomly wakes up one day with completely selective amnesia, thinking she was only 13 yesterday, but actually lived the 17 years in-between, and just completely forgot them. That's not whimsical, or magical or special. That's not even good old janitor who might be god or santa magic. That's a medical condition!
