at 3:29, better to drive till the front of blue car facing up and then drive back in the empty slot.. the idea is to always drive to till the front of the next car and then drive backwards in to the slot, you'll always be better positioned to park this way

I remember, back in 70s, American cars would run at much higher than idle speed when the engines was cold. It would return to normal idle speed once the engine was properly and evenly warmed up and the first time you tapped the accelerator pedal. All one had to do was to turn on the ignition, press down all the way on the accelerator pedal and let go. Start the engine and it would do everything automatically. I believe GM and Ford know a lot more of starting and running a car in -20° C/F environment.

Carburetor is the anwser, back in 70 carburetor were used. Modern cars use direct or indirect fuel injection injection. Possibly you can be talking about choke system too

need break a car window? pull the head rest out and use the metal pongs. Battery dead? no reason to disconnect the black cable... If you can't find a unpainted spot for the black cable to the dead car, it's okay to put it on the battery. Just don't leave it on if the dead car is dead dead where it needs to charge for a while before starting as you might end up with 2 dead cars.

I can never understand why anyone would back in to a perpendicular parking space. It takes three times as long as it does to just pull in normally and then back out. Drives me nuts when I have to wait for someone who doesn't know what they're doing to try lining up their car to back into a spot. Jesus, just drive straight into it!

I don't know about anyone else but where I live, in the winter, if you 'leave your car running for a minute and then slowly drive forward' you'll be driving blind and you'll definitely crash into something haha. The ice on the windshield is too thick to scratch off. #canadianproblems

@ej4347
@ej4347 6 жыл бұрын
ladykiri42 Since they mentioned the ice being too thick to "scrape off" I'm thinking they did. I'd rather run my car for a few minutes rather than spend who knows how long trying to scrape off the glaze, with or without a snowy, partially solid ice crust. I can probably scrape off all my windows in 5 minutes or so which is good when it's 20 below.

I live in the south (US) and it’s not as bad. My dad bought me a can of something you could spray on your windshield to melt the ice so you could then scrape it off easily. Don’t know the name of it but an auto parts store would know.

They look like those packets of desiccant that come in things like beef jerky. Their job is to absorb moisture.
@amypola5903
@amypola5903 7 жыл бұрын
craft's stairs to climb up and more yeah those packets come in almost everything. just keep them when you get them, have a little container set aside for it. but to be clear, the inside fog on car windows is actually not water, its formaldehyde off gassing from all the plastics in the car. Seeing the dessicant works on that is very interesting and makes me wonder about products I buy with them in it, like vitamins, if the pack absorbs more than just water moisture. very interesting.
