13. JIHAD (Musahabe 5 Book) Part 3 - Mahmud Sami Ramazanoğlu (K.s.) Part 1
246. Mujahidi Teşyi:
"In my opinion, supporting a mujahid who goes to war in the way of Allah, and being at his head in the morning or evening, is a deterrent from the world and from the things that happen in the world."
is also beloved.'' (Ahmed b. Hanbel)
Teşyi means passing someone who is going on a journey to bid farewell, and it is sunnah-i saniyya.
247. His feet become dusty in the way of Allah:
"Allah forbids the fire, that is, hell, to the one whose feet become dusty in the way of Allah." (Bukhari)
248. Walking in the path of Allah:
"Waiting for one day in the way of Allah is better than this world and everything on it. Even the place in heaven where any one of you puts his whip is better than the world and everything on it. "A servant's walking in the path of Allah in the evening or in the morning is better than the world and the things in the world." (Bukhari, Ahmed b. Hanbel)
249. Dust smeared in the way of Allah:
"Even the dust that gets dirty while working in the way of Allah will be the light that will make faces shine on the Day of Judgment." (Abu Nuaym)
250. Service of those who are not fasting to those who are fasting:
''Enes radıyallahu anh said:
- We were with the Prophet's (peace be upon him) entourage during the battle. The one who was shaded the most among us could only be shaded by his own clothes. According to Muslim, there are also those who protect their faces from the heat of the sun with their hands. Those who were fasting could not work that day. However, those who broke their fast carried water with their camels to irrigate the mujahideen. They served their friends. They took care of their affairs.
Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said:
"Today, those who did not fast took away the reward." (Bukhari)
Those who fast while on a journey, that is, in battle, benefit only themselves. However, those who did not fast but served their fellow soldiers earned as much reward as those who fasted. They also received rewards according to the degree of services they received.
It is deduced from this hadith that the reward of services performed among the mujahideen is greater than the reward of fasting. It is obligatory for all Muslims to cooperate in jihad, especially during the movements of the army.
251. Companion women who served in the war:
"Rubeyyi bint-i Muavviz, one of the women of the Companions of Kiram, says:
- We used to accompany the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) in battles. We would carry water to the mujahideen, treat the wounded, and take the bodies of the martyrs to Medina. (Bukhari)
There are many hadiths about the service of women in jihad. Two of them are as follows:
1- Hazrat Enes radiyallahu anh says:
During the Battle of Uhud, some of the companions left the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. I saw Aisha, the daughter of Abu Bakr Siddiqui, the wife of the Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, and Umm Sulaym, who were rolling up their trousers and working as hard as they could.
Imam Bukhari says that other than Abu Ma'mer in the narration of this hadith, others also quoted from Abdulvaris in this narration:
It was narrated that "They were carrying water bottles with their backs." They poured water into the mouths of the companions, returned again, filled the canteens, and went again to water the companions.
2- Sa'lebe bin Abu Malik radiyallahu anh said:
- Omar bin Khattab radiyallahu anh was distributing woolen dresses among the women of Medina. He had a nice dress left in his hand. One of the people next to him said:
''- O Emire'l-Mü'minîn! If you give this to Umm-i Kulthum, the granddaughter of the Prophet (peace be upon him), this Umm-i Kulthum is the daughter of Hazrat Ali-radiyallahu anh and kerremallahu vecheh, Hz. She is Ömer's wife.
Hazrat Omar radiyallahu anh said:
''- No, Umm-i Suleym is more worthy of this dress. Because she is one of the women of the Ansar who gave allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). She carried canteens of water to us during the Battle of Uhud.
Bukhari, Enes and Sa'lebe record from radiyallahu anhuma that Umm-i Sulaym took a dagger in her hand in the Battle of Hunain and said, "If any of the enemy wants to approach me, I will pierce his belly with it." Umm-i Suleym is the mother of Enes ibn Malik radiyallahu anh.
