13-മത്തെ വയസ്സിൽ ഒരു അപകടത്തെ തുടർന്ന് അച്ഛൻ കിടപ്പിലായതിനു ശേഷം 5 മക്കളടങ്ങുന്ന കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ ഉത്തരവാദിത്തം സ്വയം തോളിൽ വഹിച്ചുകൊണ്ടാണ് മലപ്പുറം സ്വദേശി പി. കെ. സൈഫുദീന്റെ തുടക്കം. ചുറ്റുമുള്ള കുട്ടികൾ കളിച്ചുനടന്ന സമയത്തെല്ലാം സൈഫുദ്ധീൻ പലവിധ പണികൾ ചെയ്തും കുടുംബത്തെ പോറ്റുകയാണുണ്ടായത്. കൗമാരത്തിൽ നിന്ന് യുവത്വത്തിലേക്ക് കടക്കുമ്പോൾ സൈഫുദ്ധീൻ 3 കൂട്ടുകാരുമായി ചേർന്ന് സ്വന്തമായി ഒരു ബിസിനസ്സാണ് തുടങ്ങിയത്. കുട്ടികൾക്കുള്ള പലതരം വസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ ഉൽപാദിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ബ്രാൻഡ് അവർ ചേർന്ന് തുടങ്ങി. തുടക്കത്തിൽ 500 രൂപ മാത്രം വരുമാനം ലഭിച്ച ഹാപ്പികിഡ് എന്ന ബ്രാൻഡുമായി ആദ്യസമയങ്ങളിൽ അവർ ഒരുപാട് കഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. ദിനരാത്രങ്ങൾ പോയതുപോലും അറിയാത്ത രീതിയിൽ സൈഫുദ്ധീനും കൂട്ടുകാരും കഠിനമായി അദ്ധ്വാനിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി. അന്ന് 4 കൂട്ടുകാരിൽ തുടങ്ങിയ ഹാപ്പികിഡ് എന്ന ബ്രാൻഡിന് കീഴിൽ ഇന്ന് 400-ഓളം പേർ ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നു. 500 രൂപ വരുമാനത്തിൽ നിന്ന് തുടങ്ങിയ ബിസിനസ്സ് ഇന്ന് 50 കോടി വിറ്റുവരവിൽ എത്തി നിൽക്കുകയാണ്. തകർന്നു എന്ന് നാം കരുതുന്ന ആ സമയമായിരിക്കും ചിലപ്പോൾ നമ്മുടെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ നമുക്ക് വീണുകിട്ടുന്ന ഒരു വഴിത്തിരിവ്. വീണുകിട്ടുന്ന അത്തരം അവസരങ്ങളിൽ പതറിപ്പോകാതെ അവയെ തരണം ചെയ്യുമ്പോഴാണ് നാം നമ്മുടെ തന്നെ വിജയകഥ എഴുതുന്നത്.
After his father turned bedridden following an accident at the age of 13, P. K. Saifudheen, a native of Malappuram, took on the responsibility of a family of 5 children.
