Nice list! I agree with Pennywise at #1 but I would have to put the Crimson King at #2 and Greg Stillson would have to be on my list. He WAS going to start WW3, after all.

Lol. Yeah there are so many. Didn’t even think of stillson. I feel like the crimson king was just exempt because he’s basically the villain of the entire SK multiverse as oppose to a single novel.

Norman was a scary dude. He was from Rose Madder. It's been a long, long time since I read that, but I remember he made me nervous. Great list, I agree with all your picks.

Yeah! Norman was a little messed up for sure! Rose Madder is an underrated novel.

Nice to hear you select Henry Bowers. He certainly earns a spot. I am more familiar with him in the novel and the mini series.

I love that you included Andre Linoge from Storm of the Century. His character's charisma & ultimate demands that the town gave in to remind me of the female religious zealot in The Mist that eventually turned some of the people in the store around to her thinking of sacrificing someone's child. I think when you combine that with the storytelling of Under the Dome he speaking to how society reverses back to survival in their willingness to throw anyone under the bus to live under desperate circumstances. The fact that you mentioned The Boogeyman, got you a new subscriber. I literally could never sleep with a closet door open until two years ago, that story scared me so bad as a kid. Notwithstanding the fact that the movie Carrie made it so that I could not step out of my bed like a normal person in the mornings but I had to jump because I was afraid that hand was going to shoot up from the ground and grabbed my ankle. This man has scarred me for life and I read everything he writes 🤣😂

Great list! I love that you included Andre Linogue. If I made a list I'd also definitely include Mr. Gaunt from "Needful Things".

I would argue that ‘he who walks behind the rows’ could definitely be another Randall Flagg personification. It’s never clarified and Stephen king hasn’t mentioned it as far as I know but the way that entity is described definitely leaves room for that speculation

I saw IT when I was 5 also... it put me onto reading. Great Review. Andre Linoge is a great number 2 and I love that you included He Who Walks Behind The Rows.

I have to comment before I watch this because my vote for 1st place is Norman Daniels from Rose Madder. I'll comment again at the end. What a great idea for a king video. Love it.

surprised to find no mention of norman daniels from rose madder. I would personally place him higher on the "evil scale" in comparison to characters like margaret white or henry bowers. although its understandable considering how not many people talk about that book or forgot about it completely

the only stephen king book and the only horror book I've ever read is IT and I had a feeling pennywise would make your number 1 in this list. some book scenes have really been haunting me ever since I read them... this was a great video!!

@alex, I think, you should check out a few more. Try Salem’s Lot if your into vampires at all.

There are some great king books out there Alex. Just as good if not better than IT. check out Night Shift, Salems Lot or Christine. A great time.

No matter how many Stephen King villains I encounter, the most diabolical and evil to me was Big Jim from Under the Dome. I had to take a few breaks when I read it because I would get so upset at just how far he and the other terrible people in the book could go. Their evil didn't even remotely seem to have a limit.

Personally I’d put the man in black or whatever you feel like calling him at number 1. To me he was the embodiment of true evil. The entity known as penny wise at number 1 is just to cliché to me and I still feel like Walter is far more evil. Still like the list though.
@TheJesseGladSaget2 жыл бұрын
Great list overall, but I gotta disagree on Cujo even being on here. I had sympathy for him the entire novel. IMO, Donna was the antagonist of Cujo. An adulterer who (SPOILER ALERT).... let her child die and honestly treated him like shit the entire story. She was wretched
