Still waiting to make the jump to our first EV and gathering all the info on them I can get beforehand. The reviews I've seen on the newer Teslas is putting me off them now tbh. They're taking minimalism to the extreme, and now with the lack of stalks as well, and as with a lot of EV's on videos I've watched...you have to constantly take your eyes off the road to adjust almost everything. Surely a big safety implication...

(Not the automatic operation, but can set speed manually if it's playing up using left hand steering wheel nub since last year) Climate - I literally just leave on auto. Not an issue. Voice control - not a panacea. Relies on having data connection (not ubiquitous), and struggles with my Scottish accent. Hopefully German legislation about physical controls means juniper update of the Y retains the stalks - if it does they may come back to the 3. Don't think their removal is helping sales anyway. There's a lot of stuff that Tesla do brilliantly, better than anyone else, they're far and away the easiest EV to cross Europe in. Other cars can charge faster, but those faster 800V chargers are few and far between and way more expensive. Then there are things where they just refuse to listen. Long term - they may even be right to not listen. Don't know though. Just think there aren't many roundabouts in California (or presumably much fog).

Better alternative if you can’t get to a Tesla owned charger. Hope it doesn’t slow down their own network though, 65p is still too high and they won’t have control over that pricing. The more people involved, everyone needs their cut and bumps the prices up. But how are they different from a Tesla Supercharger? Who is paying whom and how behind the scenes here? @@justgetatesla Yes, but why? To quote every annoying 5-year-old. What's in it for the forecourt, what's in it for Tesla, and how are they dividing up my money between themselves? If they just straight up pay Tesla for the chargers and let Tesla make the money from the electricity, then they are paying a very high price to get some more customers for their snacks and Tesla is laughing and rolling around in the money. Maybe Tesla discounts the price of the chargers? Maybe the forecourt gets a cut of the electricity sales? Maybe third-party chargers that work as well as Superchargers are hideously expensive? (Well, they are.) So expensive that you don't really make the money back from the electricity? So since you are basically paying for the extra foot traffic, why not just give the whole business to Tesla? These sorts of endless questions. Probably without available straight answers.
