I guess I should have clarified in the video more of my view of the 100 patch. Yes that patch was technically on Adidas jerseys, only for 2.5 months at the end of 2017, which I don't really count because I think of that patch on Reebok jerseys primarily over Adidas. It was the last big thing in the Reebok era, so I really identify it with them. Even though it wouldn't be a foul to put the 100 patch on a first production run Adidas jersey, to me personally it feels like a foul because when I think of that patch, I think of it on Reebok.

They did use the 100 year patch on the Adidas jerseys, for half the 2017-2018 year. I remember this vividly because I moved near Edmonton and went to games after the first year in Rogers Place and they wore them on the brand new at the time orange crush jerseys. I have a Draisaitl jersey with the 100 year patch for that reason alone.

@@Post2PostProductions that’s a fair assessment but I do think it’s a little unfair to label an adidas jersey with the patch as a “foul” since I actually have pictures with Draisaitl rocking the orange crush jersey with the patch, and my jersey is a first year issue. Disagreeing respectfully of course 😊

It's not that difficult you just need to be very careful. Best to use fabric glue sparingly that's the best option I got this tip from a Hockey Guy Video about a year & a half ago.

Applying the patches are the hardest part. I showed you my 2017 Red Wings Jersey via Twitter, all of those patches were sewn on. (I did it myself) I originally heat pressed, but they peel off super easy, so I went back and stitched. If you do anything yourself, practice on an old t-shirt you don't care about. If you do heat press, iron it on, then let it sit for at least 30 minutes. I'd love to see your attempt at applying a patch.

Please make a video applying the patches! All you need to do is iron for about a minute with parchment paper on both sides and you should be good

Use an iron on the hottest temp, put a T-shirt or fabric inside the jersey under the patch and another between the iron and the patch and press down

They actually did use the #NHL100 patch on the Adidas jerseys, they used the patch for the entire calendar year of 2017, with the Reebok/Adidas switch occurring that summer.

Just get your patches tailored on Neil. Dont risk ruining your jerseys. Theres got to be loads of seamstresses and tailors around NB, especially around Oromocto due to the Canadian Forces presence

You have to put the Stanley Cup patch on the same Vegas jersey you put the inaugural patch on bc they wore them at the same time so it would be inaccurate if you didn’t

Alan Shields Hamilton South Lanarkshire Scotland. Right Neil there are 2 ways you can put on the patches. First option is use fabric glue & this is the one I recommend the most but go easy on the glue this tipe I got from The Hockey Guy about a year & a half ago he should sttill have the video on his Channel. Option 2 is to heat press it with an iron but if you do this it may start to come away over time more easily than if you use fabric glue also when you use the iorn to put the patch on Do NOT PUT THE ION DIRECTLY ON TO THE JERSEY OR YOU WILL BURN THE JERSEY BADLY instead place a no patterned dish towel over the top of both the patch & part of the Jersey you are placeing the patch on to iorn over it 4 times press the Iorn down firmly after the fourth iorn removed the Iorn & let cool. Good luck Neil. O & wash sparingly after you put the patches on do not was regularly afterwards.

After customising my ducks 25th anniversary jersey ourselves......get someone else to do it!!! It’s was all easier said than done. Heat pressing didn’t work for us so we used a fabric glue before sewing. Was a stressful nightmare!! Unfortunately being in New Zealand where hockey stuff isn’t well known at all we had to do it ourselves. Surely in Canada there are machinists around that would know how to do this inside out

Make sure watch a couple youtube videos of people applying patches first. It's pretty easy once you know what you're doing. Make sure you remove the thin layer of plastic on the back just before you start. And I'd use a t-shirt to go on top. Parchment paper might ruin the patch. But remember to watch those videos!!

When I got my Kucherov jersey when Tampa went to the cup I also got the 2020 cup patch I ironed that one on, and almost half a year later it’s still on there strong and looks great. It was a fanatics brand jersey, so I’m not too sure it it would work on adidas or Reebok. I’d try it and just be super careful so it doesn’t mess up if it doesn’t stick

My mom did it by placing the patch in the jersey, then ironed it in through an old hand towel until it stuck

If you choose to iron these on, I recommend placing a light peace of tissue paper over the jersey to prevent you from burning it. I’ve ironed on a lot of patches so it does work!

Do we need to add anything to the patches so they stick or just iron the patch the way it comes in the package? I recently got a stanley cup final patch from national emblems and i want to know it i can just iron it straight on the jersey

@@digz9068 Some of them you have to stitch on but most of them should come with like stuff already on it so the patch should just stick to the jersey when you iron it on. But make sure you place tissue paper over the patch when you are ironing it so you don’t damage the jersey.

Just look at pictures of jerseys carefully. I have 7 Adidas jerseys, 3 have it and the other 4 don’t have it. It doesn’t bother me that much anymore just because it adds value to them since they only did it for one year.

I got the new royal blue adidas Sabres jersey on nhlshop Canada. $241 total for an Eichel one. I got my Sabres reverse retro jersey customized and it turned out amazing. I also got the adidas hoodie and the goat head toque and hat. Expensive but so worth it
