The little cheapo one I have for my room that gets a little dusty (barley used) and I use the little cotton thing on the bottom with a little bit of water. Sticks wonderful for dust.

I have the i3+ and it's been great, no complaints. Want to know how smart the i3 really is....it empties into the i7 bin (same really) filling it then goes to it's own....now that's smart, love it!

I have not had time to mess with the s4 max yet...but I will say this...the roborock s5 I have is overall a better robot...but a self empty bin is a must have.

For this kind of mess roombas are awesome - I have a Roomba i7 but not the plus, for my house it isn't as good as the t8 ..the nagivation and the way the t8 avoids random every day crap like socks and cords really make it a better vacuum. I ran my i7 and run my t8 twice a day every day. I do have the t8+ so it's nice that I really don't have to mess with it often it pretty much handles itselfs. My i7 would ignore my no go zones and always get stuck on my bar stool base or run over a cord and stop or get full and stop - I don't fault the i7 for getting full and stopping though because it's my fault for not buying the plus version. The t8+ was $200 cheaper and came with a clean base and I'm really only missing the automatic empty and resume when full feature but I gain a mop and floors that are always clean . In a month I've only had to deal with my t8 eating a cord once but it was a twice daily adventure locating and picking up my dead i7 and returning it to the base to charge

I wonder if it's possible to take one of the dirt sensors out of a roomba and stick it inside the T8 bin. Maybe if you wired it to trigger the low battery sensor, the robot would think the battery is low every time the bin gets full, go back, empty, start to charge, realize it doesn't need to charge after all, and head back out? So false alarms on the low battery detection.

When are we gonna either get a dust bin full sensor on the t8, or a smarter & lidar based roomba??? I'd rather have a sensor on a t8, but shit I'd take either at this point. Seems like the t8 would be unquestionably the best if it just had that damn sensor. I'm waiting for my t8 to be delivery from best buy next week, but my issue is that I don't know if with my 3 dogs (short hair, 2 cane corso, 1 victorian bulldog) if it will fill up too fast even if I schedule it for every other day... is there a way to schedule it to empty itself in intervals, then resume where it left off? Like every half hour or so? That would make up the difference for me...

@@cemaydin3819 that makes sense, the only issue with my house is that 90% of the pet hair is in my living room/kitchen/dining room, which are all connected as a somewhat large open area, no walls. The dogs don't go in any other room besides the master bedroom at night. So I guess the question is can I break a large area up into different sections (rooms) on the app? Or does there have to be physical walls there to do that?

@@TomCreasy yep you can split rooms up. in edit section . not sure how many times you can divide a room. I have only done it once, but if you run it every other day, unless your animals are like woolly mamoths, you should not get much hair running it constantly

The roombas are only good for tests like this because they have a sensor for their dust bin. In a normal home not a stress test, I don't think they are the best. I have both and my t8 is better.

in what way? I have the t8 also, but for some reason it doesnt go near the stainless refrigerator and oven ( reflection maybe?)and somewhere erratic navigation( pulls away from edge for some reason and goes back ) and map generation looks rough to me . I was looking at maybe replacing wit the i7 but i do like the avoidance of t8 allot and working in dark feature.
