Selling my S9 sadly. It takes 4+ hours to do one bedroom on high power for two passes and has been having tons of issues now. It has to recharge at least 6-7 times FOR ONE BEDROOM. I've tried re-mapping and everything. Have to use high power because of dog hair. It's just too slow now. My roborock S4 does THREE passes in 25 minutes in that same room. Going to upgrade to the roborock S7 eventually.

Yea thats the big issue...for my floor plan I want it to go out and clean it all without going to charge....the s9 just cant do it even on normal suction. Roborock on HIGH comes back done with 50% battery left.

The only downside of the T8+ that I've seen is that it's clean base can't handle the stress tests as well as the Roombas. I have a friend that has one though and she has never had a problem with the base with regular use. It's been absolutely perfect and reliable and has never gotten stuck. What blows me away about it is how quiet it is for its suction power. edit: Checked the T8 and the S4 Max, they both have 5200mAh batteries

I had a suspicion and just confirmed it about the Wyze and the Lidar pressure sensor. The Wyze actually doesn’t have a pressure sensor at all like most others do like the Roborocks, and the Deebot T8+. I double checked my Wyze and it didn’t move like your and I also checked the Wyze review on Robot Masters because every lidar based robot he tests he tends to point out if it does or doesn’t have one. Which is kinda of disappointing really because the Wyze is good but had the potential to be even better. I’m curious and am going to look into it. The wyze is made from the same chassis as a few other robots on the market (mainly Europe and Asia) both made by Xiaomi of a subsidiary of Xiaomi and I wonder if those models have a bigger batter and if so if I’m able to get my hands on one. Especially the Xiaomi Mii Mop P. It’s literally 100% the exact same thing just had the electronically controlled water tank and also a two in one water tank dust bin and I’m sure if wyze integrated it into the map it would defiantly work since you can see the metal contacts in the dust bun compartment. You should do more of these tests every so often as you obtain new robots that are equivalent to each other. This test is one of my new favorites.

@@AdamsReviews I was actually wondering if it's somewhat fair or "comparable" how much dust they picked on these conditions since the robots will pass over sections where the other robots were vacuuming there before. So how can we get to the conclusion that the T8 got more than Roborock because is more powerful and not because maybe the Roborock started on the tiles floor which was already clean compared to the carpet, or maybe the sections Roborock did first werent as dusty as the T8's did first. Anyway, just a thought. Other than that i really liked the test for stressing the running time each had, it was quite good test for that. As you said in another comment would be cool to see the Wyze with the no-go zone for under the bed.

Thanks, but how about a real world test with Maps and No-Go Lines. Daily I use a Neato D5 on Turbo( '544^2 in 53 min) and Deebot 907('376^2 44min) to split upstairs and a D3('712^2 in 120min) downstairs. The D5 rocks with bigger battery and bin. The Deebot 907 can't do the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on "turbo" on one charge, but on low power, can easily do it. My D5 has about 900 cycles on the battery and still going strong. The Deebot had troubles with the Roller-brush motor gears/transmission after a year. I was able to repair it and get it back into regular use, but feel that Deebot isn't built as well as the Neato products. If Neato ever builds a self-emptying bin, that will be the bot to buy!

Shame the wyze couldn’t get itself unstuck. I noticed it tried going over my door stopper for a good 30 seconds, but it was able to maneuver itself unstuck. I was also extremely surprised by how much hair it pulled out from probably deep under the carpet, especially since I had JUST vaccumed + used the bissell pet pro carpet cleaner on the entire floor plan. I genuinely wonder if the suction is better than traditional vaccums.

Actually the Roomba S9 was not set to the highest suction level here, that was medium I think, there is one level higher than what it was set to here. Doesn't really matter though since even on this power setting the battery died before it was done, the highest setting would have used up the battery even faster. Irobot really needs to start including larger batteries in their bots.

All the tests IMAGINABLE for the s7: -First Test Do you even need to put the s7 through the first test? Well... if you want to put all the others that did the first test to shame, then put the s7 through the first test! -Stress Test A classical for this channel, the Stress Test. Over 20 robots have done it, with the ROBOROCK s5 being one of the two that did perfectly on the test, so I believe the s7 will do perfectly on this stress test. -MEGA STRESS TEST! Seeing as the s5 did good on the MEGA STRESS TEST, I would highly assume the s7 will do perfectly on the MEGA STRESS TEST! -Full Floor Plan Test Well, we already know the results, but why not anyways, because the s7 can detect carpets and print carpets on the map. -OLD Vanilla Pudding Mopping Test. The test that all the Robots failed at. With the s7 scrubbing 3,000 Times a minute, the s7 would probably do the best. Damp the mopping cloth, spray water on 2 of the 4 Pudding Stains, and set on Intense and Deep for the best results. -New Mopping test on the Whiteboard Put the s7 through the mopping test on whiteboard, a new test found on this channel because only 4 robots have done this test. -VibraRise Obstacle Course Put the s7 through an obstacle course with all types of hard floors and carpets to test if the VibraRise actually works. Add easy stains on hard floors and debris on carpets and see if the robot can pick up the stains on hard floors as well as debris on carpets without the robot mopping carpets. Add low, medium, and high pile carpets! -Full Floor Plan Speed test against 3 others Put the s7 through a speed test upstairs, just like what you did in this video -Self-Emptying Bin test against all other Self-Emptying robot vacuums See if the S7’s self-emptying bin does better than the others! -THE SHOP-VAC TEST! Put the s7 through an unrealistic Shop Vac-like test down in the concrete basement against the ROOMBA s9+ and see who does better.

Quite detailed test suite well done :) I was thinking might also be interesting to do on the "Full Floor Plan Speed Test", with and without the map, so that we can see if their algorithm improves if they have the map in memory already. From what i see on the video im sure the Roborock can shave off another 5 min out of the full run, there are several rooms that if it would have had the map it would be faster IMO.

This is a terrible "experiment". The robots are interfering with each other, the environment is biased against the Wyze, and Adam himself is walking around messing with their sensors the whole time. They also start at different locations and different angles which affects their pathing. They should start at the same location, and run individually, at least twice. The first time for initial mapping time, and a second time to measure how long it takes to vacuum a premapped area.

Does not seem like the most accurate way to test something? An easy way to get content but not a real test.. a test has a control, eliminates variables. They all have to have the same start point, They all have to have the same amount of dirt to clean. When Adam finishes his testing room I HOPE he performs the same test for each robot when he is evaluating, clean the area of all dirt, start at point x, but down y amount debris, measure how much of y was picked up.

@@ericgunner4121 Definitely agree that this can happen for sure. But how i would test this is, assuming that 2nd floor is used by people. Then on a Sunday i would run the S4 as many times as needed until it doesnt pick up anymore dust. Then 2 weeks later on Sunday same thing with the S9, and so on. In the end you compare how many "dust bins" or grams of dust the robots collected. Though i realise this is not so "doable" for a youtuber's pace. But can't think of a more fair way to test them, unless you throw sand and flour and whatever here and there and then you measure how much they picked up after a first run. But these ingredients to me are not natural on the 2nd floor test.
