So glad you are back my friend. I’m not a fan of the background music, but I’ll take it if it means I get to watch my favorite reviewer!

Thanks for the feedback. Is it too loud, or is it the music itself? If it's the music itself, sorry. :( But if it's too loud, I can fix that. :)

@@StoneColdMagic Maybe a touch too loud, it just distracted me a bit, but it’s not a huge issue. I, along with many others I’m sure, have missed your reviews, I always feel like I’m listening to a friend give me the truth about a product! Thanks again!

Thanks. I’m glad the video was useful. This thing took forever! The filming (about 45 minutes) was the fastest thing on the list. Testing the products, watching the billet knife video, digging through the book, and scanning some of the Osterlind footage (which I’ve watched in its entirety a few months ago) was the next biggest “project.” But editing! Holy cow well over 12 hours. Whew!

Lighting and video is great. Thx so much for your honesty and candidness. I already didn’t like the caveman look of the letter opener (lol) and I won’t use it. Maybe I’ll use a butcher knife with a magnet 🤪
@StoneColdMagic11 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback on the audio and video quality and the video itself. I don’t mind the look of the knife too much because it’s perfect for an effect I do that uses a “dagger.” So I didn’t get a “billet knife” I got a “wooden dagger” instead. 😁

Thanks for the thorough and honest review! Since the videos alone where more expensive before, this is kind of a no brainer if you dont have them. The thing is, I actually have the videos since before, but I'm just now getting into mentalism, so I'd only buy the set for the props. Some props seem to be hard to find though (or maybe I'm looking at the wrong place) like the billet knife, paper clips and some of the swami gimmick variations. So I guess my question is, would you say that it's worth it for me to get the set for the props alone, or would it be wiser to try to track them down individually? Thanks for any advice you can give me!
@StoneColdMagic9 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! I definitely would not purchase this for the billet knife. For two reasons. 1) The billet knife, as you saw in the review, is no good. 2) Even if it were good, it's available as a stand alone product at most magic dealers. I also wouldn't get it for the swami gimmicks. I would go with Vernet for swami: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eInJl4qkpdKmrZY

Laminate what needs laminated, then use a dry erase marker on the 64 spot prop..

Excellent idea. My brain never went there because the stickers were included and that’s what Osterlind used. This again points to the need for a video explaining all of the stuff included.

Pro Caps gets a 0 from me. The Cap looks like no cap I've ever seen, especially with the gimmick in place. The inside of it is obviously not a real cap. 4 out of the 5 times I did it, I got called out on the stack of coins looking weird. This is supposed to be a visual close up trick. I should not have to misdirect from the main moment of magic. "I will make this stack of 4 coins travel to my pocket, under the cover of this totally normal bottle cap (which I hope you stare at, so you don't notice that the sides of the coins are not copper). If I cover them with the bottle cap, they disappear. Please don't be that interested in the trick or you'll see the crack in the bottom of the cap."
